I need help styling my curly hair!?

i have curly hair (and its not like out of control curly hair) and i blow dry it when its wet, then use a straightener. now matter what i do with my hair, i can never guide it to the right style, and it wont stay in that style. i want to have a different hair style, but i dont know what to do! i know a lot of people that do the same thing but are able to style their hair like they have straight hair. what should i do?

I need help styling my curly hair!?

when i'm having bad days the best thing for me to do is to use a bobby pin and then blow dry it it into place. the heat helps the hair set.

you may even need to use a little hair spray, or pomade, or another type of product.

Best Hair cut for Long curly hair?

I have long curly red hair and it's been cut in layers. My problem is, that it is so long that the weight pulls all the curl out so it's more wavy than curly. It is also flat and straight down to my ears.

I love my curls and want to work with what I have. I've spent years straightening and trying to make it do things that it just won't do.

I am looking for a cut that will give me volume on top as well as bring the curl back.

I don't like to spend a lot of time on my hair. I usually put a styling product in and scrunch.

Thanks,

Mel

Best Hair cut for Long curly hair?

as a curly haired girl myself(and i recently died it red...) le tme tell you this- you have like, the perfect curly hair, not oo much not too little.

now to answer your question, i recomend you get more layers, starting higher up your head, about chin length. some hair dressers may call those shorter ones angles. next, i'll say that the top part of your hair may need more help than just a cut, you may need to put a root-lifting product in it, they aren't hard to find, just walk down your hair care aisle and look for a root-lifting spray, that's how they come. finally, i'll tell you that to keep your curls from being wighed down, the two major things you need to do are condition with one that says it won't weigh your curls down, like loreal vive, and you need to trim your hair more often than others to keep the curl forming through the end.

Best Hair cut for Long curly hair?

dont do too many layers unless you want it to look really poofy! Just stick to long layers and it will be more managable and you will have more styling options.

Best Hair cut for Long curly hair?

I would do more layers maybe starting at your shoulder if its really long. This will keep you from having the triangle look.

Best Hair cut for Long curly hair?

I have the same problem when I grow my hair out...its the worst. The cut that works best for me is a shoulder length cut...slightly layered and its angled in the front (to give it a little style). It doesn't change how I style my hair either (just some styling product and my frizz-ease hair spray). If you want to keep your hair long you might want to try scrunching your hair while your head is flipped upside down that way it may not lay so flat on the top. That's how I use my hair spray (I flip my head upside down and spray so the curls set bouncy and not flat).

Need help with curly hair!?

I have naturally curly/wavy hair. When I wash my hair, I have loose curls that I think are pretty. However, when my hair dries, the curls look really dry and my hair starts to straighten out a bit. What can I put on my hair to enhance the curls and make them look moisturized?

Need help with curly hair!?

My step-daughter has that hair! When she was in High School, her hair dresser introduced us to "Silk Therapy" and she's used it ever since! I think she even finds it at Target now, so it's fairly affordable.

She's got really thick hair, so she uses a few more drops, but you only need a couple, rub it between your palms, and smooth it into your locks, wet or dry (depending on what look you want).

I'm telling you, she's got the prettiest locks I can think of - I wish my hair was that pretty!

Need help with curly hair!?

try using Dove Mousse it works really well and it doesnt get all hard and crunchy like the other products. It makes really pretty curls and keeps them.

Need help with curly hair!?

ya...mousse or gel. i use tresseme for mousse and got 2 b spiked up for gel. they both work good.

Need help with curly hair!?

I think you could get curl profector, or curl enhancer. Not nececeriely a gel, but an enhancer cream. and get shampoo that is for natural curly hair.

Need help with curly hair!?

I know exactly your problem! I struggle with some unruly hair myself. As for a fix, nothing quite makes my hair look perfect, but I've found a few good products that help!

John Frieda Frizz Ease Hair Serum

Aussie (most of their hair products are cheap and work really well. if you're lacking moisture in your hair, a few of their conditioning products really help)

Sunsilk (for damaged hair. the 24-7 leave in cream replenishes some moisture and makes the curls stick together!

Good luck!

Need help with curly hair!?

you should use a curl activator cream. try to stay away from hair sprays and gels. creams seal in the moisture lost when your hair dries. depending on how much you are looking to spend, you can get Terax Hydrate Botanica leave in moisturizer which works great or you can get Garnier Fructise Sleek and Shine leave in conditioning cream which is quite a bit cheaper.

Need help with curly hair!?

after you wash your hair dont dry it all keep it little wet then put gel in your hands and spreed it at your hair and move your hair with your hands (you hope u understand :D ) it will give u a gr8 curly look :)

Best styling products for curly hair?

I have curly hair and i keep trying new products (gel, mousse) to find a good one but my hair is always frizzy. Does anyone know anything good for curly hair? What kind of products are able to give your hair a wet look?

Any info would be appreciated

Best styling products for curly hair?

I have always had the same problem. The curly hair with the frizz (normally at the end of the day). I can't brush mine after it has dried or I get a white girl afro - which just doesn't look cool. Don't blow dry your hair, it will just complicate things. I found that TIGI products work great for me. Curls Rock, Catwalk and Bed Head are my favorites. Head to a salon, and they can lead you right to them ,or at least tell you a salon that carries them. I can't say enough about TIGI, it was a godsend. I no longer have the crazy hair, i have the sexy hair. I hope you find something you love, take care!

Best styling products for curly hair?

There are some products called WET that give your hair that wet look but the best way to get rid of frizz is simple jell. You can scrunch your hair with it or blowdry your hair with it but it really works.

Best styling products for curly hair?

check this out:

Hei, use PANASONIC Ionity Hair Straightener or similar product.

Model no. EH1671A. This will help you nicely.

Best styling products for curly hair?

try pantine pro-v all those products have worked the way they said for my curly jungle.

Best styling products for curly hair?

I have curly hair and I use CURLS ROCK by TIGI. You can get it at a salon. I use the entire line, shampoo/conditioner, curl booster, curl amplifier and hairspray. It is worth its price. I wouldn't use anything else.

Best styling products for curly hair?

John Frieda's Frizz- Ease products work for my hair (which is really curly). I've also found that putting a tiny teeny amount of baby oil in my hair right after I shower helpful - just don't overdo it. For a wet look, try putting some Philosophy Shear Splendor Smoothing Serum and then lock the style with a good hairspray (don't buy the anti-frizz ones from like pharmacies- they don't work, buy like the hairspray from salons).

Good luck!

Best styling products for curly hair?

Sebastian's wet styling gel. that's what i use. i have naturally curly hair and wear a natural all summer. its a light, thin liquid gel. it cost about $8 and it works like nothing else. you get to keep the bounce and it adds shine. best of all, you don't get "crunchy" hair.

I got my hair... REALLY short, but not totally bald, how can i grow it curly?

ok, well yea, i have a lil hair cutitng machine, i cut my hair witout any clippers, so it almost looked like if i was bald. ok, now, is there a way i can make my hair grow kinda like curly? curly hair is something that my dad used to have but somehow he started to get straight hair lol. and he told me that when i used to be a lil baby, i had curly and blonde hair, but then they shaved my lil head so it started to grow black and straight hair, i dont like it, can anyone tell me how to grow curly hair?? and maybe even making it blond or kinda brow again??? thanks

I got my hair... REALLY short, but not totally bald, how can i grow it curly?

I think that cutting it at this point won't change how curly it is. What you need to do is go to a hair salon for men and ask them how long it needs to be in order to get a mens' perm. They can also color it for you. I don't think there's a way to go back in time an get those curls and color. That's probably why alot of women get their hair done!

I got my hair... REALLY short, but not totally bald, how can i grow it curly?

its genetics

I got my hair... REALLY short, but not totally bald, how can i grow it curly?

Sorry, dude. You're either born with it or you're not. You can not cause your hair to grow curly or straight. All you can do is grow it out. Then perm it.

I got my hair... REALLY short, but not totally bald, how can i grow it curly?

get a perm my freind, get a perm. or use that shampoo that makes your hair curly but never works lol i think straight hair is better though

I got my hair... REALLY short, but not totally bald, how can i grow it curly?

go to the hairdresser

I got my hair... REALLY short, but not totally bald, how can i grow it curly?

Sorry, it's however your genes are programed, none of us can just make our hair grow a specific way.

I got my hair... REALLY short, but not totally bald, how can i grow it curly?

umm grow ur hair out and then throw some gell in it and scrunch it

I got my hair... REALLY short, but not totally bald, how can i grow it curly?

......look in the mirror everyday and say.....GROW CURLY.....GROW CURLY...hope that helps

I got my hair... REALLY short, but not totally bald, how can i grow it curly?

You can't make your hair grow curly unless it is naturally curly to begin with.

I got my hair... REALLY short, but not totally bald, how can i grow it curly?

if u want your hair blond or brown you can dye it. and if u want curly hair all u gotta do is buy a curl activating gel and that will make your hair curly for the day. hope this helps!

Where did curly hair come from?

I read that poodles have curly hair because they went into the water a lot, because they were work dogs helping people catch their fowl etc. Does human curly hair come from being in the water too?

Where did curly hair come from?

It usually grows out of your head though in some cases it is found in other areas. I like curly hair.

Where did curly hair come from?

My pubes are always wet.

Where did curly hair come from?

no

Where did curly hair come from?

Are you serious? No, human curly hair doesn't come from being in the water.

Where did curly hair come from?

i believe the difference between curly and straight hair comes with follicle shape somewhere along the line, the shape of the hair follicles changed. whether it was from oval to circle or vice versa, i don't know. but, oval-shaped follicles make curly hair and circular ones make straight hair.

Where did curly hair come from?

Usually people who come from warmer climates have short curlier hair that keeps them cool, People who live in Colder climates have long straight hair that can keep them warm.

I have long hair and it used to be curly, but as it grows out (now to my lower back) the curls are straightening out towards the top and wavy in the middle and now my hair is only curly towards the bottoms. Do you have any suggestions on how to get my hair curly again?

For girls with long curly hair....please read more.?

I have the same EXACT PROBLEM to get your hair curl but some really nice gel that says use for curly or wavy hair so when your hair is wet rub through you hair while your head is upside down and also while scrunching it and your hair will look really curly and really pretty.

Lucky you. My hair is down to my back and it is so curly. A couple of years ago it was soft beautiful curls, now I can't control it. But it you really want to have the evil curls you can get a perm (sorry, can't spell, i have no idea if htat is right)

For girls with long curly hair....please read more.?

perm it.

Don't know but your hair is wavy not curly and you get it curly by using curl iron or rollers.

Maybe if you trim it.

i have curly hair and all i do is straighten it every morning. I suggest u get a perm or use a good styling product

For girls with long curly hair....please read more.?

That is because of the weight of your hair, as it grows longer it gets heavier so it straightens out from the root to the middle section, if you want to keep your bouncy curls you neet to get a shorter haircut and layers, long layers would be the best, I have super long curly hair, a little below middle back and I'm thinking on cutting to have better curls, nothing extreme, 3 inches would do it for me. Good Luck.

For girls with long curly hair....please read more.?

Try Caruso molecular haircurler system..The one with salt works the best...It takes me less than 15 mins %26amp; the curls last all day......I found it on eBay because the newer model doesn't utilize salt %26amp; I found that the curls didn't last as long. My hair is waist-length %26amp; I'm 45...My mother is 68 %26amp; utilizes them as well...Also perhaps your condition is weighing down your hair......

For girls with long curly hair....please read more.?

The shorter you cut your hair, the more curly it will be.

If you still want long hair try layering it some or just cutting it a small amount. If you go to a hair dresser as them what they think. Hope this helps.

For girls with long curly hair....please read more.?

I have long curly hair. I usually shower at night and then french braid my hair after putting some sort of frizz cream on it. It dries during the night and when I wake up in the morning it's really soft and has shiny loose curls all the way down.

For girls with long curly hair....please read more.?

Your hair is straighter at the roost and curlier towards the ends because the weight of your hair is pulling the curl out. There are a few things you can do to solve your problem. The most obvious is get a haircut. it does not have to be a dramatic cut just a light trim will put the bounce back into your curls.

Another solution is to use the correct products. I cannot stress enough that using products designed for your hair is essential to getting the desired style. Use shampoo and conditioner for curly hair. The gentle cleansers and rich moisturizers put life into curl. But don't forget about styling aids. Use a mousse on your hair to help control the curl and when it is about 80% dry use a curl creme to define those waves.

For girls with long curly hair....please read more.?

The longer your hair is the more wieght is pulling at your hair, making it straighter and less curly. Try gettting some long layers to make it curl up again.

For girls with long curly hair....please read more.?

well when i was younger my hair was semi curly i guess. but right now my hair is really long like to my lowerrrr back. and my mom told me that it pulls the curls out the longer you go the less the curls. so for you i would say i know you might like your long hair but if you want natural curls again cut it off a lil. it'll grow back. or you can always curl it with a curling iron. but that sux doesn't it? thought so too time consuming fo us with long hair also the curls might just fallout ne ways cuz the weight of the hair. for same reason i doesn't curl naturally ne more. so you could always go with the last option. perm. may work but can sometimes damage your hair if done to much. just look at the past permings....does 80's ring ne bells? i know you don't want that curly hair but the point is is you don't want to perm too much cuz then your hair will be fried! frizzy , easy breakage, ugly. go do what you want hope you will have a happy hair day!!!!!

How to get curly hair???

ok well i have a natural wave but i make it curlier by using wella shockwaves mousse, when i get out the shower run mousse through my hair when its still wet and the scrunch it to create waves, i then leave it for five minutes (usually start doing my make up to pass the time) then i scruch it again and begin to dry it and keep on scrunching it in your hands whilst you dry......when your hair is pretty much dry go over it again with a diffuser to make it even curlier....finish with a bit of hairspray. this works for me,ive worn my hair curly for 2 years now and it never drops out. try it!

What are some more hairstyles for thick curly hair?

i have the same kind you do. i would suggest using moose as well as frizz serum it usually tends to help alot. i straighten my hair alot but i really do like my hair. i would suggest wearing your hair up while it's drying and when you put it down it usually looks better oh and NEVER blow dry it. although i suppose you already know that. anyway i usually wear mine half up half down, i hope this helps :)

What are some more hairstyles for thick curly hair?

First of.. find yourself a good hairstylist. I battled with your issues as well but it ended with a good hairstylist. He thins out my hair by cutting the curls indiviually while my hair is dry. He basically thins it all out, one curl at a time, leaving one long and cutting another shorter so my hair becomes much lighter and the curls have room to form nicely shaped curls. A good curl enhancing product like a foam or serum in combination with a slightely more greasy product like a wax will do the rest.

Hope it helps.

I have really super curly hair, how do you straighten it?

I have really curly hair. I have one of those cheap 20 dollars straighteners. IEverytime I straighten my hair it gets all poofy and frizzy. All the products I have with me are Frizzease styling gel and hair serum. My mom won'tlet me get any more hair products because she feels my hair doesn't need anymore than that. I don't reaaly want to straighten my hair with a clothes iron or a blowdryer. Do you have any tips on how to straighten hair like mine.

I have really super curly hair, how do you straighten it?

- Go curly! Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blowdryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a microfiber hair turban (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sulfates). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (read more about this at one of the websites) . Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. Do not brush/comb your hair after this point because it wil disturb the curl pattern (make sure you already have a part). It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair. Then let your hair air dry or use a blowdryer with a diffuser. Do not touch the hair while it is drying or it will frizz!

- Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Aussie Moist Conditioner. The combo of products that I use daily is Garnier Fuctis Sleek and Shine Leave In Cream, LA Looks Sports Gel, and Aussie Tizz No Frizz Gel, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites. Most moms are excited when their daughters want to wear their hair naturally and will buy them more products - that's what happened to me when I went curly ;). The products listed above can all be found at walgreens and are cheap too.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! Hope this helps!

I have really super curly hair, how do you straighten it?

i have really curly hair too...i asked the same question actually haha so if you want to see tons of other solutions just go to my page : )

I have really super curly hair, how do you straighten it?

Don't worry about it. Sometimes the curly hair can attract any one. You jast learn of liking your lovely hair and you will not have any problem about it. Have a good day..

I have really super curly hair, how do you straighten it?

convince ur mom 2 spend a little more %26amp; go in for rebonding..by this your hair wil remain straight for 6-10 months depending on the maintainence..You would not have to straighten your hair agn %26amp; agn..My mom had recently gone in for rebonding %26amp; it worked wonders for her..so try it out.

I have really super curly hair, how do you straighten it?

Hi Sarah!

Here in the Philippines, the best to straighten your hair is through MILK REBONDING. I am not quite sure if milk rebonding is available in your country. It is better than any other rebonding methods because the hair designers use milk plus less damaging chemicals. Also, try to use hair-straightening serums. The product is just like a hair conditioner but I guarantee that it's not oily or greasy. And yes, don't use irons or dryers, or else you'll end up having frizzier hair.

I have really super curly hair, how do you straighten it?

I can't believe your straightener doesn't work. Mine was about $40, but it straightened my hair wonderfully. It felt so smooth and silky.

My hair is so thick, frizzy , and curly. I couldn't believe the difference. My dad told me that it made me look older though and I haven't used it since. I'm in early 40's, don't need to look older.

My hair is so naturally curly other people that seen me with absolutely straight hair said they almost didn't recognize me.

In high school I blow dried my hair as much as possible to make it straight. I wish we'd had straighteners back then. Maybe a more expensive straightener would help. I got mine at a beauty shop supply store.

I have really super curly hair, how do you straighten it?

People are struggling to maintain and grow hair and still unable to suceed.

Uu want to spoil what you are blessed with.

Stop everything. No more straightening business for U. You will become mad.

Be ur natural self.

I have really super curly hair, how do you straighten it?

you actually can use your cheap hair straightner. Divide your hair into smaller chunks and pieces and use the straightner on each "chunk", and run it through it several times. start with the back moving up to top and sides. and don't use styling gel, if your wearing it down, that will make your hair curly. but do put the serum in it, before you straightner. so brush tiny sections and then straightner and repeat! and dont wash your hair everyday, that just dries it out.

good luck!

I have really super curly hair, how do you straighten it?

well what you have to do is you should go to Argos and buy a straightener and then put the plug in and wait for at least 5 minutes to get hot and then start to straighten your hair and at the end it will be straight

I have really super curly hair, how do you straighten it?

I completely understand straightening curly hair... I like my curly hair alot, actually, and yet sometimes it's just way too out of control and it needs a Straightened period of time.

I only have a 20 dollar straightener but it'sworth it; it's a Conair one, with bronze colored plates and built in comb attachments.

Don't use styling gel; it's a waste and it makes curly hair sticky and more likely to curl

Citre Shine is a good serum to use on either straightened or naturally curly hair.

The best way to deal with crazy hair is to make sure it's really really moisturized in the shower; always use conditioner and find a balance between it being moisturized but not greasy. Then, tie it up in a low ponytail (with a soft hairband or scrunchie so it won't dent) and then add an extra dime sized amount of cheap conditioner to it while it's still damp. Add the serum and then go in small pieces while straightening

Good luck!

I have really super curly hair, how do you straighten it?

Oh sweety i feel for you. i don't know how long your hair is? My hair is so curly and down to my lower waist now, i hated my hair growing up. the longer my hair grew, the higher and poofer it got. i use l'oreal remix, but i dilute it on my hands before spreading it through my hair, they also make another one but it's so thin i go through the jar like it's water. try it. if you let you hair grow the weight will hold it down a bit, i don't wash my hair every day, but i do wet it and put a good conditioner through it. can't go a day unless i slick it down and bun it. however through my success, still sometimes my hair will be nice in the morning and through out the afternoon at work it poofs anyway, it's all trial and error and we like it or not have this hair. good luck. enjoy it. becasue other people love it. no matter how big your hair gets at the end of the day.

ps if you really want it straight pay a hairdreser 40-80 and she'll do it to perfection, but one drop of moisture in the air and its gone.

i can spend two hours with a straightening iron, not anymore, i have other things to do

might as well sign off as, your sister FRo, lol

I have really super curly hair, how do you straighten it?

well i too have really curly hair, so i understand your issue! you just have to decide when the weather is right to straighten your hair. i cannot straighten my hair when it is humid or rainy outside so i put it up in a pony tail.

hope this helped you some??? --shortnsweet--

Naturally wavy hair curly??

ok so my hair is naturally wavy.

like theres some curl action there but like major waves

what can i do while its wet to make it all curly

like i mean like taylor swift curly hair

heres a pic of her in case you dont know

http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cf...

Naturally wavy hair curly??

My hair is naturally wavy also. the best thing to do is to wash your hair with a curling shampoo and conditioner. This will prep it for curling. Then you should partially towel-dry it until it is still wet but not soaking wet. There are a lot of products you can buy that will bring out the curl in your hair and help eliminate frizz. you should buy a product like this and run it through your wet hair then blow-dry it completely. if you want curls like Taylor Swift's, then you need to curl it with a small barrel curling iron. you can also try using the curl product and twisting small sections of your hair around your fingers while blow drying if you dont want to use a curling iron. hope this helps!

Naturally wavy hair curly??

try gel but taylor swift is far fetched

Naturally wavy hair curly??

Redken makes a product to promote curls. I can't remember what it is called, but I'm sure if you visited the website you could find it. While it's wet, try to scrunch it a bit, and let it airdry. Look into those products though, my friend uses them and her curls are beautiful! Hope this helps...

Naturally wavy hair curly??

Use a curling iron or rollers.

well im not sure if it will get as curly as tayloe swift but im sure it will get pretty close

okay... so when your hair is damp get moose and put it all through your hair and like cruch your hair youll see it work when its wet then put a hairdryer on low and blow dry it so thats its almost dry then go back to the moose and repet then blow dry agian but make sure the blow dryer isnt blowing your hair everywhere ALSO part your hair b4 b/e after your done or in the middle you cannot brush it.... tell me how it goes!

Naturally wavy hair curly??

after u get out of the shower . put gel in your hair and make lots of braids depending how big or small u wanna them thats how big or small ur curls will be ..well then after all ur hair is braided spray sum hair spray and remove braids next morning so they can come more fully shaped ok or just get a perm

buh`bye love ya hope this works

Naturally wavy hair curly??

If you take a shower at night, before you go to sleep, braid it.

My hair is naturally curly, and I mean all over crazy curls, so I usually braid it. If you want it to be big waves, do only one or two braids. The smaller the braids, the curlier it will get, but if they are to small they will frizz. I suggest if you don't want your hair frizzy, don't brush it to much with a bristled brush after you take the braids out.

I have really long, thick curly hair...and am looking for a big change how should i cut it?

Ok, i have really really long, really really thick, really really curly hair, it's been that way most of my life. Every time i get it cut, it's only a maximum of 2 inches. I want a change. And, being that i have this curly, long, thick hair...i've never actually had it styled.

There isn't much you can do style-wise with curly hair, i know that. But, i know there's gotta be SOMETHING. Someone please tell me what i can do to style it and make it look AWESOME. Something completetly different than the long curly haired look....yet, on a very very low budget. Meaning i can't get it straightened.

Please help?

I have really long, thick curly hair...and am looking for a big change how should i cut it?

Okay, my hair s a lot like yours so here's some suggestions:

Don't cut it too short. Since it's thick it'll poof right up.

Keep it long enough that it can go in a ponytail. That way when you wake up and feel lazy, you won't have to spend forever on it.

Try getting layers cut if you don't already have them. They can keep your hair from going as thick and will make your curls look nice.

You could also try getting bangs to change things up a bit (if you don't have them now).

I have really long, thick curly hair...and am looking for a big change how should i cut it?

hmm i don't know i was gonna say get it straightened but if you do get layers when it gets straightened

I have really long, thick curly hair...and am looking for a big change how should i cut it?

Get lots and lots of layers, this will thin it out and give it style!

I have really long, thick curly hair...and am looking for a big change how should i cut it?

Your first choice is to get it cut shoulder length which could be a change. Your other choice could be to really change and get it cut above the shoulder but the problem with that is it may puff up too much . You could buy a hot iron straightener (i have a conair) and try straightening it yourself to try to get rid of the curls too. Its your choice so always pick something that looks good with your face shape also.

I have really long, thick curly hair...and am looking for a big change how should i cut it?

Have you thought of purchasing a flat iron. You could then use it to straighten your hair. This is cheaper then getting a straightener put in your hair but can get another look that way.

Besides that I would suggest finding a saloon that you trust their judgment and a stylist that you trust and asking them what they think you should do with your hair. I too have think curly hair so I understand about the style problems. I have recently cut mine shorter and instead of getting curlier I found that it is easier to get straighter. No mind you it is not straight unless I iron it but it is a look straighter and less frizzy.

I have really long, thick curly hair...and am looking for a big change how should i cut it?

shave it off

I have really long, thick curly hair...and am looking for a big change how should i cut it?

Don't do anything, DON'T CUT IT!

LAYERS JUST MAKE IT MORE AWKWARD CAUSE YOU HAVE ALOT OF DIFFERENT LENGTHED PIECES TO SORT OUT, AND LAYERS CAN BECOME EXTATIC AND LOOK NASTY..

HAVE YOU TRIED SRUNCHING YOUR HAIR, IT MAKES IT LOOK A DARKER SHADE BECAUSE YOU USE MOOSE..

LOOK AT THIS VIDEO: http://youtube.com/watch?v=M16WG9jpU-Y

I have natural curly hair...?

I have natural curly hair. I HAVE A LOT OF HAIR!, but i want to give it that "wet" kinda look. So i used Herbal Essence Totally Twisted Moosse when i got out of the shower, but after like an hour or 2 it got poofy and stuff. I was told that when i should stop sticking my fingers in my hair, but i am afraid that it will flatten out. HELP what should i do!

P.S i tried almost every moosse out their n di dont use hair spray that much because i dont want my hair to be stiff

I have natural curly hair...?

i have naturally curly hair too!

1. well i take a shower get it clean and stuff...

2. dry it off (with towel)

3. put gell in my hand....rub both hands together flip head over

4. crunch it! (get a handful of hair and squeeze it)

5. the gell doesnt hold my hair together so after i apply the gell

6. i put hair spray.....and it just sticks together...and it looks wet....

I have natural curly hair...?

Hair gel. That is the best. I have hair like yours. I the morning when I get up. I lose about 7 inches of height after I brush my hair.

Gel is the best.

I have natural curly hair...?

I have the exact same hair as you, using mousse will give it more volume and make it puffy, you first have to make sure your hair is damp then put CRUNCHING GEL in it that will make it stiff, hard, and shiny.

I have natural curly hair...?

rinse your hair with vaseline, and let air dry in your hair.

I have natural curly hair...?

I've had naturally curly hair my whole life and have never found anything that stays very long.

I have natural curly hair...?

Ojon Hair treatment the answer to your hair problems. Also, a little bit of conditioner mix with hair gel will help tame the frizzies

Straight clip-ins on curly hair?

I straighten my hair all the time when at college, althought it is naturally curly. I think it would be a waste of time to buy curly clip-in hair extensions only to straighten them later. But on the other hand I'm worried that if I buy straignt clip-ins the texture will be very different to my natural curly but straightened hair.

What would you do in my place?

Also, what are the best and affordable clip-ins on the internet.

Thanks a lot guys!

Straight clip-ins on curly hair?

I'd just buy straight ones and curl them when i want to (:

x

Straight clip-ins on curly hair?

I would keep my hair the way it is. Natural look is always better and nothing wrong with Curly hair, don't waste time to straighten it.

Straight clip-ins on curly hair?

dont do it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rly clip ins r just a waste of money

Curly curly hair!?

ok... i have realllly curly hair and its really thick. for christmas, i want to get the best straightener, i'm thinking chi. but wat do you think?

Curly curly hair!?

Why not wear it naturally?

*Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now well defined and healthy. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life! But if this is completely uninteresting to you, disregard.

*To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel, a leave in, and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blow dryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a micro fiber hair turban/old t-shirts (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

*The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygienic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sulfates). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

*Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (avoid these- ingredients will end in -xane, -conol, or -cone). Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse with cold/cool water.

*Do not brush/comb your hair after this point because it will disturb the curl pattern (make sure you already have a part preferably to one side). It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair with your fingers. Make sure gel is evenly distributed everywhere in your hair. If you use too much you can always scrunch out the crunchy texture later.

*Use paper towels or an old t-shirt to gently scrunch some of the water out (generic towels can make hair frizz). You can either let your hair air dry or wait ten minutes and then use a blowdryer with a diffuser. Dry until your hair is almost dry, and then air-dry the last bit. Do not touch the hair while it is air-drying or it will frizz!

*Use a cheap, silicone free conditioner to scrub your scalp such as Suave Naturals or Vo5. Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner (Ulta), for your hair. Cheaper suggestions are Nature's Gate or Desert Essences conditioners (health food stores). I recommend using a gel (LA Looks, Herbal Essences, La Bella) over a leave in (L閳ユ┉real Out of Bed Instant Texturizer). Experiment with whatever products you wish, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

*You may be able to get away with some silicones (such as amodimethicone) if you clarify with a sulfate free shampoo. Try Devacurl no-poo (salon) or Cream of Nature (drug store). Feel free to find your own but always check the ingredients for sodium/ammonium lauryl/laureth sulfate.

*Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. Before you decide to quit shampoo, do a final cleanse with shampoo and stop the use of any products with silicones in them. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! I hope you consider this- email me if you have any questions!

Curly curly hair!?

you and me both sista...I'm mixed and my hair is like unmanageable... its frizzy and super curly and extremely thick and the kind of straightener i have is "Vidal Sassoon" its got its not like super small but its not like huge. Its one of those kinds that like puts ions back into your hair it works really well, i also use this heat protectant spray before you straighten it. and when im done i use a shine serum, this combo all together works really well...

How do you get curly hair "beachy"?

I have curly hair, but I would like to get the tousled, texturized beach look. This is easiest done with straight hair, but I have curly, and I have tried the methods for "beaching" straight hair but they have come out just too curly.

How do you get curly hair "beachy"?

well, my darling, beaching curly hair is actaully quite easy. If you have curly hair already, put a serum in your hair and blow dry it low with a defusser. This should work.:)

How do you get curly hair "beachy"?

I have curly hair as well, try spritzing with sea salt water while the hair is damp, scrunch your hair to keep the curl, and let it air dry. You can use a little moose to smooth frizzies when the hair is dry.

How do you get curly hair "beachy"?

easy, when you have wet hair, put hair jell in and scrunch. then put it up in a really messy bun and when its dry, take it out. whah lah! there would be small and large waves. its really hott

Products for Natural Curly Hair...?

I have natural curly/ wavey hair and I have damaged it by dying it, blow drying it, using curlers and flat irons. You name it I have tried it. Well I have decide to start all over and cut my hair short like Mia Farrow (actress in Rosemarys Baby). And I promised myself not to use any more chemicals. I would like to know what natural/ organic products should I use for curly hair after I cut.

Products for Natural Curly Hair...?

I don't know about natural/organic products, but I can tell you that of all the shampoos and conditioners I have tried for curly hair, the one that FAR exceeds anything else is Ouidad Quench. You can only order it online as far as I know, but it's definately worth the money.

Products for Natural Curly Hair...?

I had the same problem. My hair dresser told me to stop brushing my hair. She told me to just use a very wide tooth comb or use my fingers. She told me to stop blow drying my hair. She also told me to use Paul Mitchell's Extra Moisturizing Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave in Conditioner, and Gloss Drops.

I had my hair cut and followed her orders. Guess what I have long beautiful curly hair again. It's more manageable now because it has not been fried by chemicals, hot irons, and blow driers.

Products for Natural Curly Hair...?

Products from Pureology are wonderful.. my hair is naturally wavy too and it works great.

Best thing

When you get out of the shower

Blot hair dry w/towel (leave it a little damp)

Brush out tangels

Comb out W/big tooth comb

Than leave it alone

Continue to leave it alone

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

I don't know what to do with my hair. Usually I take a shower around 6 and go to bed about 11, so my hairs dry by the time i go to sleep (it gets messier when i sleep w/ it wet). The front two pieces on either side of my head (about 2 inces) are straight. The whole of back of my head is always seriousley wavy. The pieces underneath are curly.

It looks bad, and I can't wear it down. I need help styling.

I have a straightener and a blow dryer, but i don't have enough time for that everyday. Are there any products I can use? I don't care if its curly or straight, just one would be nice (I would prefer curly).

Scrunching doesn't really work that well, I don't like using a lot of hairspray and stuff.

I was considering Herbal Essence Totally Twisted, or Dangerousley straight. Anyone used these?

Any other ideas?

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

You have my hair! try washing your hair in the morning and letting it dry naturally. The curls and waves will stay smoother instead of frizzing, and it won't get mishapen by sleeping on it. Only brush it once while it's wet, then leave it alone. Your hair sounds pretty, you should try pulling the sides up in clips. If it's the shape you don't like, try a different haircut, the shorter the curlier it will be.

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

get a straightning iron, my friend has one.

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

I have VERY curly hair....i used the Aussie products and they work great for me..the one i used to make my curls perfect is Mousse-Gel Fussion....its white and looks like liquid gel, when you pump it out it turns into foam like mousse....try it its pretty good

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

If you want to wear it straight, you can actually do a wrap on it, and this will make it relax where the curl is. To do this, think about like a tornado, or the swirl that your toilet makes when you flush. Part it where you normally do %26amp; then run a smoothing balm through it. Take your comb, and start coming in a circular pattern, wrapping the hair flat to your head. You will want a wrap cover to put over it, you can get this cheap in the black hair section, kinda like an ace bandage almost. If you want to wear it curly, you can actually do knots. Take about a 1" section of hair that's just barely damp, and start twisting it until it twists around itself. Pin it %26amp; let it continue to dry, then it will be curly when you take it down. Good luck!

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

i have very curly hair naturally, which is unfortunate because I really dont like it. Since some of your hair is curly and some is wavy, id reccomend straightening it. Invest in a good iron like a CHI. Then once all of it is straight, it will be easier to style any way you want, including re-curling.

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

I mayself wear braids almost all my life. So try some braids. i't won't hurt

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

If your hair has curl and wave to it, then stick to the curl and wave. Trying to straighten it would take too much time to do everyday. Consider getting a spiral perm, a loose, relaxed one, so that you can just get up in the morning, gel or moose it, then go about your day worry free.

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

strait

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

i dont know how you would do it...but i do know something about the shampoos. i have pretty much the same hair as you! i flat iron it evryday though. damamging yes, but as fixable over time. i bought the pin straight(dangerously or watever) from herbal essences new line. and all it did was make my hair a bit greasy. it honestly didnt do much straightening. it smelled good....but didnt do anything but flatten the hair up top and leave the rest normal.

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

Put anything moisturizing on first so hydrators can easily penetrate strands.Low levels of silicon won't seal the hair shaft and block the effects of your moisturizing.next apply a serum which is light reflecting silicone to give strands a slippery feel.Is your hair is so unruly, limpness and dryness. For optimal benefit and your hair must look so amazing follow the way I suggested you.

Best way to keep curly hair looking uniform...not poofy.?

I normally wear my hair straight, but am tired of the constant straightening, and dont want it to take a toll on my hair......What are good products/ways to style your hair if it's naturally curly/wavy, that gets good curls, but not the BIG curls (poofy)....I hate when it just gets to be big curls. I'd like some kinda of curly/loose waves type thing, how would it be best to accomplish this. I've heard of various products, and "rag-rolling"....what's best, without using hair dryer, and other such items.......Help.

Best way to keep curly hair looking uniform...not poofy.?

As a fellow curly-headed girl, I understand your predicament. I really like Redken's Fresh Curls line; they come in blue/green bottles. The best products from the collection are the detangler spray, the fat pump jar of curl cream, and the spray serum. I find that in the winter, these work really well at creating uniform curls.

http://www.redken.com/products/displayBr...

The best time to apply them is right after you take a shower; your hair should be soaking wet. I also advise you to never brush your hair, unless you're about to take a shower anyway and get it all wet again. This is because separating the strands from one another prevents hair from forming large curls, and when all of the curls are small wisps it looks messy. When I stopped combing my hair after showers, it had a great impact on the way my hair looked.

Another product I have had success with was Fredrick Fekkai's olive oil glossing cream. I use it all year round, but in the summer it's all I need to have flawless hair.

http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh...

These products are kind of expensive, but curly haired people are the most justified of all hair types in spending money on quality products. So go ahead; you'll look great!

Good luck

Best way to keep curly hair looking uniform...not poofy.?

same here i used to straighten my hair everyday, but i got tired of it. so what i do i use TRESemme' mousse first and then i style it and top it off with "aussie" strong hold hair spray its found in a purple bottle. for best results have your hair towel dried [[but still a little wet]]. i think it looks cute when u crunch your hair and put your bangs up in bobbi pins [[it's my favorite look. well i hope i helped

Best way to keep curly hair looking uniform...not poofy.?

I always style my hair when its wet %26amp; I never comb/brush my hair unless I'm washing it or wetting my hair in the shower; I just finger comb. This helps keep the curl in, and not make it poofy.

Then I use curl/wave defining products, like Sunsilk Frizz Ease 24/7 creme (green bottle). To enhance my curls, I use mousse (I like Tresseme Curl Care the best, though I currently use Garnier Curl Construct and it works fine too) %26amp; I let my hair air dry.

Do I have curly hair? It's only curly when wet. But it's?

kinky when dry. Do I have curly or kinky hair? Curly kinky? How can I keep it curly when dry?

Do I have curly hair? It's only curly when wet. But it's?

Try getting some light gel, not the kind that makes your hair hard or stand up. When you get out of the shower towel dry your hair, rub gel in between your hands and being scrunching your hair. Grabbing it in handfuls starting at the end and ending at your scalp. This will make your curls last. Do not blow dry it after this, you can use a difuser if you have one and do not comb it at all. Also try lightening up on the amount of conditioner you use in the shower as this will weigh the hair down.

Do I have curly hair? It's only curly when wet. But it's?

Try applying some gel when its wet. Don't comb it after it dries, that will wreck the curls

Do I have curly hair? It's only curly when wet. But it's?

Sounds like you need hair products....Put some curl lotion in it, or gel and let it dry naturally.

Yeh, same here. Just brush it after you've washed it, I went to a near- but not that near- skinhead look. Makes it easier for me to maintain. Be grateful you've got more hair than me.

and how much do you think it would cost to get done and how long would it take??

thanks!

Can i get my hair from curly to wavy??

I've said it before...we're never happy with ourselves. We always want what others have. I want your hair. Just have it straightend and curl it...

Can i get my hair from curly to wavy??

ok you can do this yourself. if you go on youtube and look up hair syles. use a big curling iron and curl it all the way to ur scalp. then hold it. maybe spray it. the finger it. watch the video

Can i get my hair from curly to wavy??

Get a home kit perm, but leave it on shorter so it doesn't become too straight.

Can i get my hair from curly to wavy??

um...well i really like those kinda curls, but if your looking for a way to do ur hair wavy without all the heat and curlers etc....maybe buy some hair straightening shampoos and styling products, something so when u get out of the shower u can put the straightening prodct in and fix your hair to the way you want it...

Can i get my hair from curly to wavy??

You could buy this stuff that takes your curls out but when your hair grows in will be curly in the roots. or you could go to a hair stylist that can do it. And then get then to put a wavy perm in your hair the way you want it. Thats what i think would work.

Can i get my hair from curly to wavy??

There's a specific type of perm technique that is used to get soft wavy curls- whisping away from the face-in which the stylist essentially rolls your hair in plastic hot rollers (instead of perm rods) and then perms it. Cost can depend on stylist skill, type of salon you visit, and area in which you live. I would expect to pay at least $100 for it though, considering it is a speciality perm.

HElp I hAVE REallY CurLy HAir?

ok my hair isnt like afro like witney huston but its curly and puffy and like down to my shoulders is there a way i can make them soft and long cuz wen i straightin my hair its reallly long so is there any way i can make my hair long and flowy and wavy THANX!

Oh and please dont say "OH Curly Hair Is Awsome Leave It" I hate that you have no idea how bad it looks i have a big head and it looks sooooo ugly

and about my spelling sorry im in a hurry

HElp I hAVE REallY CurLy HAir?

my friend use to have curly hair (it was gorgeous on her!!!) and she just kept straightening it every day and eventually it started staying straight and now its completely straight. just keep straightening ur hair every day and itll train it to stay like that.

HElp I hAVE REallY CurLy HAir?

Get that hair-aphy that stuff really does work

HElp I hAVE REallY CurLy HAir?

I know exactly what you are talking about mine is kinda crazy to I am always using a flat iron. So if you are wanting long and wavy hair you could straighten it then put loose curls in it.

HElp I hAVE REallY CurLy HAir?

You said don't say leave it curly because your head is huge but look at Nicole Kidman. Her head is huge and straightening her hair makes her head look even bigger.

HElp I hAVE REallY CurLy HAir?

I totally feel your pain! I'm a curly too, and I hate it. Make sure you have something on your hair before you blow dry it or straighten it! This is key. I use Aussie Leave in conditioner, and I've noticed a big improvement in the few weeks I've started using it. There are some heat protectant products out there, but I think my Leave in Conditioner works ok. Also you might not want to use an al-cheapo straigtener, I use a Chi, and it works miracles!!! Seriously! If you use the wrong one, it looks like your hair just got fried in an electrical socket. If you want to leave it curly, use the conditioner, then add some mousse. Style as desired, I usually put mine in a head band and have some bangs to frame my face, and then add a drop of frizz stuff at the end. You can also use a Diffuser if you want your hair dry, it does make a difference! Good luck!!

HElp I hAVE REallY CurLy HAir?

I have a mixture of coarse super curly hair with smoother wavy hair - making it quite the mane to tame. However, I have worked out a system for taking my hair from super curly to wavy to pin straight.

For curly hair:

Step 1 ~ wash, condition

Step 2 ~ apply mousse or gel that reduces frizz %26amp; defines curl

Step 3 ~ airdry if possible scrunching with hands OR use a diffuser with a hairdryer on low air %26amp; low heat settings

*It is important NOT to brush or even comb your hair when you get out of the shower - this promotes more frizz

For wavy hair:

Step 1 ~ wash, condition

Step 2 ~ apply mousse or gel that reduces frizz %26amp; defines curl

Step 3 ~ airdry if possible scrunching %26amp; twisting hair with hands OR use a diffuser with a hairdryer on low air %26amp; low heat settings

*You may want to even the waves out with a wave iron (for an "S" wave) or a fat-barrelled curling iron (for ringlit waves)

For straight hair:

Step 1 ~ wash, condition heavily

Step 2 ~ apply gel for straightening the hair

Step 3 ~ blowdry straight with a round brush (preferably one with a conductive core to speed the process)

Step 4 ~ use a straightening iron (preferably one that takes your hair from wet to straight because they are hotter %26amp; you don't have to blowdry your hair all the way if you're in a rush)

Step 5 ~ finish with a paste or palmade that will minimize frizz %26amp; give you the ability to lift roots and style

Hope this helps and good luck!

HElp I hAVE REallY CurLy HAir?

I understand totally. I have extremely curly red hair (think corkscrew curls with extra frizz) that I wear straight now, but a number of years ago I would wear in softer larger curls. Every time I go to the hair dresser, either the stylist or a customer makes some comment about how much people with straight hair want curly hair, would "kill" for hair like mine, etc.

If you don't already, try using a small amount (very small amount) of leave-in conditioner on your hair to help with the puffiness. Check out the sites below for some up-to-date styling tips for curly hair. The first link from about.com might have some step by step instructions for just what you're looking for . . .

Long and curly hair! [help]?

I have a TON of long, curly, thick, frizzy hair. I have tried almost everything to tame it. Whenever I wear it down it always frizzes, then I have to put it up on a ponytail! Is there anything that ACTUALLY works on thick curly hair?? I want some kind of gel, or frizz control, something that enables me to wear it down for the whole day. I don't want to straighten it!

[I'm latino, if that helps]

Long and curly hair! [help]?

I would recommend Redkens "fresh curls" It is a great shampoo and conditioner. Also they make an anti-frizz spray gel to keep your curls smooth all day. I would go to redkens website and click on "your hair" It will ask you a series of questions about your hair and based on your answers will recommend the best products for you to use from shampoo to styling. Good luck to you. Feel free to mail with any questions.

Long and curly hair! [help]?

buy curling shampoo and conditioner also *** soon as you get out of the shower buy some frizz tamer, i use frizz-ease an it works like a charm, also DO NOT BRUSH or TOUCH your hair when you come out of the shower, use mosse o hairspray, your hair should look perfect in no time:)

Long and curly hair! [help]?

no offense to the girl down there but if you don't brush your hair it will get matted and seriously you DON'T want that. i have the exact same hair as you it sounds like. think. supper curly.. and frizzy :[ i tried just about everything but then i came across this line of shampoos conditioners and hair styling products. its called DevaCurl. it has a light green label and they sell it at salons but if they don't in your area then check them out online. i swear it tamed my hair and i love it! i can finally wear my hair down and i can even let it air dry sometimes. which was never the case, before i would blow dry it and have to watch it until it was totally dry to make sure it wasn't frizzy and it always frizzed anyway. i don't know if being Latino has anything to do with it but try it out. and if it doesn't work look up this really upscale curly hair shampoo called OUIDAD. i found this stuff in an ophra magazine. it is a salon made just for curly hair they have different lines if your hair is dyed or really dry. i hear its amazing they have a website were you can blog and everything.. ouidad.com. i haven't tried their products yet because they are expensive. but if you try it and it works you have to let me know. but until then try Devacurl, and see if it works for you as it did for me.

hope i could help, i know how it feels believe me.

GOODLUCK.

I have curly hair, best way to style?

im a male an i have curly hair, i normly wet it an jell it with crew jell

but in the end it normaly ends up just dry, whats the best way to style curly hair? open to all suggesttions

I have curly hair, best way to style?

i have curly hair too and find that gel is not the way to go. Try some mousse instead. remember that when styling hair, a small amount goes a long way

I have curly hair, best way to style?

i just think if you have nice ringlets to let them go without any styling products!

I have curly hair, best way to style?

as long as you use a gel that stops your hair from going frizzy, just keep doing what your doing. dont worry if it doesnt look wet cos nice shiny smooth curls look better anyway. otherwise it can look like its always greasy. another thing you couls do is let it grow a bit - guys with nice curly hair just above their shoulder can look really hot.

ii Love Curly Hair! =]

Why Not Try Tha TREsemm茅 Natural Looking Curls! =] With Only Six Easy Steps!

1 Squeeze your desired amount into the palm of your hand and emulsify to activate the ingredients.

2 Comb through damp hair from roots to ends with a wide-tooth comb to fully saturate the hair.

3 Then, scrunch curls into place, shaping and molding curls' tightness and definition.

4 Anytime you use a gel, blow-dry upside down with a diffuser (if not, your hair will dry crispy) until hair's 90 percent dry. Then, let air-dry. The diffuser lets you lift hair for a shorter curl formation (translation: bouncier curls).

5 To mold gorgeous finger waves, twist in gel piece by piece.

6 For added definition, finish with TRESemm茅 Curl Care Locking Hairspray.

Learn How To Take Care Orf It Too! =]

1; To create defined, natural curls that bounce (and we mean bounce!), coat damp hair with this curl-enhancing gel.

2; Its humidity-resistance formula controls frizz for healthy-looking styles (minus crunchiness).

3; Plus, its alcohol-free formula won't dry out or flatten the hair.

4; Its holding polymers lock curls into place for the tight curls you crave, while its proteins hydrate and tame flyaways.

Tha Do's! =]

1 - For a quick, frizz-free style, apply TRESemm茅 Touchable Curls Shaping Milk all over damp hair and then twist sections around your finger to create spirals. Let your hair air dry for the smoothest look.

2 - Gently squeeze any excess product out of your hair with a towel to prevent it from weighing down your curls.

3 - If you want to blow-dry your curls, use the diffuser attachment to reduce frizz. Flip your head upside down and place your curls in the cup of the diffuser. Allow the hair to dry while gently bringing the diffuser towards and away from your head.

%26amp; Tha Don'ts! =]

1 - Never brush your curls. Comb conditioner through your hair while in the shower, then towel dry and style it with your fingers to prevent frizz.

2 - Don't try to straighten your curls every day - embrace them! Over-straightening will cause damage over time, leaving your hair duller and drier.

3 - Try not to shampoo every day - curly hair tends to be coarser, and washing too often can deplete your hair's moisture. If you must shower, use conditioner in place of shampoo on alternating days.

%26amp; Remember, CURLING IRONS ACTUALLY DAMAGE YOUR HAIR! =]

STRAIGHTENING YOU HAIR

I have curly hair, best way to style?

curly hair needs alot more moisture than straight. Use a leave in conditioner and a shine serum before the gel so you protect from the alcohol in the gel and get a shiny style.

How to get curly hair without heat?

You can use rollers... but I think that takes too long. To make it faster you can just flip your hair when its wet or damp upside down and "crunch" or curl your hair around your finger. When it dries it should look nice.

How to get curly hair without heat?

GIVE BRAIDING ONE MORE TRY BUT APPLY A CURL ENHANCER LEAVE IN TREATMENT AND THEN BRAID AS TIGHT AS YOU COULD. A FRIEND OF MINE DOES THAT BUT INSTEAD OF BRAIDS SHE PUTS IT IN A BUN AND GOES TO SLEEP, LET IT DRY OVER NIGHT (GUESS U COULD USE A BLOW DRYER W/ DIFFUSER)

How to get curly hair without heat?

Stick your finger in an electrical outlet.

How to get curly hair without heat?

hairsprays and rollers works great!

How to get curly hair without heat?

Well as your hair is wet put it in bobbles and leave it for about 15 minutes

take the bobbles out and put either gel/hairspray or mousse in it

it works for me

How to get curly hair without heat?

1) wash your hair, let it dry a little

2) put mouse and gel in it, pin it up and sleep with it. Then when you wake up take it out.

How to get curly hair without heat?

Rag curls! Take strips of wet cloth and wrap them around strands of your hair. You can probably find a tutorial for it on youtube. http://www.youtube.com just type rag curls in the search box . Or, you could use suave styling mousse maximum hold and flip your hair over your head and scrunch it in, use a lot of mouse until it starts to get curly. Hope this helps!

Why do people want curly hair i mean i have super cruly hair and it gets all fizzy and gross i would

straight hair it looks alot nicer on me everyone has told me but why would anyone want curly frizzy gross looking hair yea mine may look like sometimes i went to a baber shop and got it curled but it is just not my style my friend says she wishes that she had curly hair like mine! But why?

Why do people want curly hair i mean i have super cruly hair and it gets all fizzy and gross i would like..?

People are fickle. For the same reason some light-skinned people want tans and try so hard to darken their skin for the sake of fashion/beauty, but yet don't want to be called 'black'.

Why do people want curly hair i mean i have super cruly hair and it gets all fizzy and gross i would like..?

Hey watch dat, girl you be talking too much.

Now respect my Afro.

Why do people want curly hair i mean i have super cruly hair and it gets all fizzy and gross i would like..?

Doesn't look like your avatar....whatever...

Why do people want curly hair i mean i have super cruly hair and it gets all fizzy and gross i would like..?

I have super straight hair, which I love, but it's also super fine, which I don't love. I wish I had a little bit thicker, wavy-ish hair. The reason everyone wants curly hair, or even a different type of hair, is because the grass[or hair] is always greener on the other side. Not many people truly love what they have, and they'll have for the rest of their life without chemicals, and products.

Why do people want curly hair i mean i have super cruly hair and it gets all fizzy and gross i would like..?

Try making waves, trust me I have the white fro.

Why do people want curly hair i mean i have super cruly hair and it gets all fizzy and gross i would like..?

have you ever heard of punctuation? USE PERIODS AHHH i cant read all that it confuses me. UMMMM i dunno a lot of people are like that - pple with straight hair want curly hair, pple with curly want straight...i dunno i guess its because people always want what they dont have

Why do people want curly hair i mean i have super cruly hair and it gets all fizzy and gross i would like..?

people always want what they don't have.

but then when it's gone, they want it back.

Why do people want curly hair i mean i have super cruly hair and it gets all fizzy and gross i would like..?

everyone wants what they can't have

Why do people want curly hair i mean i have super cruly hair and it gets all fizzy and gross i would like..?

nice avatar....and you are sooo right but if you want super super curly hair you better get braids....i hate curly hair i think people should just like their hair straight long and soft...curly hair is hard to handle and the best you can do with it is get braids or use the hot comb.

Why do people want curly hair i mean i have super cruly hair and it gets all fizzy and gross i would like..?

I personally think it's very attractive. It's all a matter of opnion. I'm sure if you're friend had curly hair she would wish for straight hair.

Why do people want curly hair i mean i have super cruly hair and it gets all fizzy and gross i would like..?

Everyone who has straight hair wants curly hair and everyone who has curly hair want straight hair. It's just what it is.

Why do people want curly hair i mean i have super cruly hair and it gets all fizzy and gross i would like..?

i have the same problem but i like my curly hair because if i want it curly i can have it that way but it if i want it straight all i have to do is get a flat iron to it. its actually a gift. People want what they dont have. Its like you wanting straight hair. you wouldnt want it if you had it all your life.

Why do people want curly hair i mean i have super cruly hair and it gets all fizzy and gross i would like..?

no one is ever satisfied with them selves. if they had curly hair they would want straight. people that have straight hair want curly hair. people that have blonde hair want brunette or black or red.and the other way around. no one is ever happy i tell you! i also have curly hair and i dont like it but people keep on telling me how pretty it is and that i should always keep it like that. i want straight hair! people could also just want change. america likes change.

Why do people want curly hair i mean i have super cruly hair and it gets all fizzy and gross i would like..?

Nobody wants what they already have so that's why most people with curly hair want straight hair and most people with straight hair want curly! They think that they won't have any problems if the have a different kind of hair but no matter what type of hair a person has they still don't seem to like it!

Why do people want curly hair i mean i have super cruly hair and it gets all fizzy and gross i would like..?

I too have very curly hair and got tired of it. I bought a straightening perm and straightened my hair. I love how it looks and it lasts for several months.

Try it, you might like it!

Why do people want curly hair i mean i have super cruly hair and it gets all fizzy and gross i would like..?

dito i hate my curly hair

Why do people want curly hair i mean i have super cruly hair and it gets all fizzy and gross i would like..?

mine is naturally curly and everyone always meaning yes all the time wants to either pet me or tell me how they want my hair it drives me crazy at times with the up keep and all the have twos just to keep it looking healthy but i think that with straight it kinda makes me not me.

Why do people want curly hair i mean i have super cruly hair and it gets all fizzy and gross i would like..?

i have very curly frizy hair but ihave learned to work with it i put hairspray and non frizing products in my hair after a shower so when they dry the firz is a lot less but dont get me worng i love staright hair i use a flat iron all the time but it is fun to play with curls it took me months to find the right combo of products to help the friz i love dove hairspary it holds the firz but lets the hairmove and not feel like a brick wall!!! well i hope this helps but sometimes i get mad at my hair but that is natural.

Why do people want curly hair i mean i have super cruly hair and it gets all fizzy and gross i would like..?

this is like the chicken and the egg. straight heads want curly hair and curly heads want straight hair. it's been like that since the beginning of time (tho i doubt if eve had anyone to complain to!)

Tips on managing curly hair?

I have curly hair, and it always gets frizzy. I use mousse in it, and that usually helps. Also, other than straightening it or wearing it down and curly, the only thing I end up doing with my hair is putting it up in a ponytail. Any tips on products and/or or styles to help my hair?

Tips on managing curly hair?

I prefer to use gel in my hair. I used mousse for a while, but I think the gel works better. Also, the key is to style it when it's wet. Then let it air dry when you're done styling it. Personally, once my hair dries, there's nothing I can do to change it.

As for styles, there are two that I use when I feel like I need a change from wearing it down and curly. After putting some gel/mousse in your hair (optional), put your hair in a ponytail towards the base of your neck. Then twist the ponytail and clip it to your head with a butterfly clip. If your hair has some length to it, the extra length will hang out of the top of the clip. Let this curl by itself, or scrunch it to help it along.

The second style is harder to explain, so my apologies if this doesn't make sense. You will need some length for this one. Put gel/mousse in your hair, and put it in a ponytail in the center of the back of your head. It should be a fairly tight ponytail. Bend over, and use your hands to fold your hair into what I can only describe as a "fountain." Put a second ponytail holder around the top of the fountain, so that your hair comes out of the first ponytail holder, and loops back under the second. So, with the second ponytail holder, part of your hair will look kind of like a donut, with the rest hanging out loosely. Now just scrunch the loose hair. If your hair is the right length, the loose hair will make a kind of sunburst-style thing around the donut/bun.

And as for the frizziness...that can really only be partially controlled. Mostly it's just the price one has to pay for having the luxury of curls.

Tips on managing curly hair?

I've heard that just using conditioner, this means no shampoo, helps. Also, I use Frizz-Ease and it works great.

Tips on managing curly hair?

I would suggest you go to your stylist and get some (Control Freak by Bed Head) Redken has a great shampoo and condtioner as well called Smooth Down. Also ask your stylist to strip your hair from any build up alot of times that causes your hair to feel dry and look frizzy.

Tips on managing curly hair?

Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon rocks, and Pantene's spray gel for curly hair (sprayed on damp hair and then "scrunched" a little, air dry) is a nice warm weather option.

I also got a product from a salon near me called Osis Twist Curl Activator, a creme for damp hair, that works wonders.

Tips on managing curly hair?

I personally have natural curly hair myself, what i do is i use pan-teen prov shampoo and conditioner and i use l.a. sport gel which always makes my hair look nice when i where it down! sometimes i spray it but what u could also do is try cutting it or u could get it permanently straightened if u want to try something new and different.

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

I hear people with curly hair complain about it, but I love mine! I wear it long so it's weighed down a little. I get so many compliments on it. There has been such an advancement on curly hair products. I was walking through the mall the other day and some sales lady wanted to straighten my hair. She seemed surprised when I told her I like it curly. Anyony else love their naturally curly hair? Or do I stand alone?

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

I think the sales lady in the mall was jealous of your rockin' curls. She wanted to bring you down a peg or two by straightening your hair. She's probably sporting some dull-colored, mousey, soccer-mom bubble cut!

Don't let anyone try to change you! You keep rockin' those curls, girl!

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

ooooo i love mine!

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

my mom does. she loves her curly hair. mine is straight as a board, but yeah

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

I like my curly hair in the summer time b/c it is wash and go! But in the winter I straighten it b/c I don't like to go out with wet hair in the freezing cold!

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

Alone hunny.... I can't live without my flat iron!

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

I hate my curly hair. Maybe it's because I don't like the way it looks curly, or perhaps i don't know how to make it curl right. I use frizz-ease serum and curl products, but i still don't like the way it turns out...

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

some days i love them but at other moments when they get frizzy i hate my curls !

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

My hair is like curly wavy but I hate it sometimes because its like puffy. But its good to have because you can do anything with it. Like scrunch it, or straighten it. Some people that have straight hair, dont hold curls very well... it its harder for them to srunch it or curl it.

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

i love mine.......not a lot of girls at my school have naturally curly hair so i feel special

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

My hair is not curly, but I once had a girlfriend with naturally curly hair. I thought it was fabulous and I made sure she was well-aware of that. Nevertheless she insisted on straightening her hair. I don't know what the deal is either, maybe you are the only one.

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

I used to when I was young but wish I still had it now

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

i love my naturally curly hair i just recently cut it short like how most African American women are wearing theirs like supermodel Eva Pigford except my hair color is not loud bey once Blonde its a subtle dark chocolate

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

I like it when it decides to behave correctly, which is rare. I have grown it really long and it just kind of hangs like a drape and I didn't like it.

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

My sister!

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

Yeah, the little girl in the Peanuts cartoons! She's always going on about her "naturally curly hair".

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

yeah i love mine though it is straight as a board

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

Mine's naturally wavy...not curly.

But I love it! :D

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

i love my natural curls get many compliments

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

I hate my curly hair, but then, that may be because my sister has this beautiful wavy but almost straight hair.

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

Yup! Once I learned how to take care of it, I began to love it.

Does anyone else love their naturally curly hair?

I LOVE my curly hair! I always let it air-dry to coax out the curl even more. I know so many girls who straighten their beautiful curly hair, and I really don't understand it. I never straighten my hair, I love it the way it is!

One product that I've found really helps the curls look shinier and more defined is Garnier Fructis Style Curl Shaping Spray Gel, it keeps the frizz away.

Good luck!
