if you blow dry your hair a fringe will be fine to manage

I have wavy hair with a fringe, and my fringe kinks more than the rest of my hair as there is less weight to pull it down. Straighteners and a little hairspray should solve the problem unless your hair is really unruly, but don't go for the chop unless you're happy to go down that route every morning!

Forget it.

I have thick curly hair, I tried to cut my hair that way and it was a disaster! Even if I tried to straighten it, it just wouldn't work. And a hairstylist recently advised me that it was a bad cut for me. I think for you it depends upon how thick your hair is, if you have a lot of hair I'd say try something else.

i have curly hair. its dark and long and i was born with it. i wouldnt have it any other way. when you cut curly hair, the curl tightens as there isnt the weight to pull the curl out. if you want a change just change ya parting. you'd be amazed. i wouldnt suggest chemically straightening your hair as with all the blow drying your already putting it through your hair wont be in good condition.

I havy very kinky caucasian hair, I get the straight look, when I use setting lotion, and straighteners, which seem to be pulling my hair out, according to the hairdresser. I have heard though that the wavy look is coming back into fashion (yey!) So dont get the fringe cut yet.

I did try a fringe a year ago, but it kept forming a cows lick! Because of the natural kink. It was a waste of hair product too!

But if you are dead keen, use a good ceramic iron on your fringe and toni and guy funky gum, that stays through sweat! And get a good flat metal backed blow drying brush!

PS. my afro(whity, lol) hair is quite thin, so I used less heat, but if you have thick hair be careful, not to singe!

i'd give up on the idea unless you wanna spend ages everyday blowdrying and straightening. I have wavey hair and even that is a proper struggle to maintain a fringe. I keep forgetting how hard it is and making the same mistake. Have now grown it out and its staying that way!!!

have some funky choppy layers instead but keep the length!!!

Go for it. I have curly hair and a fringe and straighten it most days. When I wear it curly, I simply pin the fringe back or style it to the side. Maybe it depends on the hair type, my hair is really thin so it's easy to straighten and stays straight. Thicker hair may be problematic.

I have curly hair and I have a heavy fringe which I manage fine with. As long as you use a good hairspray after you've straightened it, mine lasts all day. I do straighten it every morning, but if I can't be bothered i just clip it back in a little quiff and put the rest of my hair up.

Go for it, if you decide you don't like it it wont take long to grow out xxxx
