Hey, i have thick layered curly hair and i straightened it on friday?

the thing is it takes almost 2 hours to get it straight and i haven't washed my hair exept with leave in conditioner and stuff since friday cuz i don't want my hair to curl is that gross? when my hair is curly i wash it every day but i just don't want to have to straighten my hair for 2 hours ffor a couple days.......is that gross not to wash it for 3 days? most people with curly hair told me they only wash it twice a week my hair still smells good what do you think?

No that is fine. I have thick curly hair too. And it also takes me about 2 hours to straighten my ahir and i am a hair stylist. But when i do straighten my hair i dont wash it for about 3-4 days. Bexause i dot want to have to go through the same process again. Well anyway No it is fine. I mean like many of the people tht comein my salon and want me to straighten thier hair ask me about if it is okay to not wash it for a few days and i always tell them it is okay. The farthest i would ever go though would be a week then i wold definetly wash it. But 3 -4 days if okay. good luck

its fine. i do that too a lot. if it starts to smell bad and you dont feel like washing it just spray it with a good-smelling hairspray

The only reason I wash my hair daily is because it is fine and really oily.

Right after I get is highlighted I wait a day or two before washing.

Lots of people in Europe don't wash daily. Americans tend to be more hung up on this than they are.

Instead of doing that you could get a perm it makes it easy to strighten and when you wash it still will go back curly. All you have to do is go to a salon and ask.

If your hair is not oily and nasty you can go on without washing it. I go weeks without washing my hair with my hair type.

everybody's hair is different. I have to wash mine every day...you'll know when it is time to wash your hair. It'll start looking, smelling, and feeling gross.

No it's not gross to wash it every 3 days! It really depends on your hair and sculp as to how often you wash it. I have naturally wavy/curly hair and I only wash mine once every 3 days and it's fine! It just looks, feels and smells normal to me. But, like I said, everyone is different.

I have the same problem.. But I have super thick, long curly hair and it only takes 30 minutes.. You probably need a better straightener because it did use to take me longer .. Revlon Ceramic is what I use and it's only 20 bucks at Wal-Mart. Try doing it in parts, brushing each part out then put a tiny bit of FrizzEase in each part. That'll help.. But about not washing it no.. I wait until my hair gets greasy looking to wash it again which it'll normally be straight for about 2-3 days before I wash it.. But thats also because I have oilier hair my friend can go 5 days without washing hers And I normally wash mine everyday when Its curly too... But yea I understand its a pain in the butt to straighten who wants to do it everyday.

Its totally fine. take my word for it. if you want healthy hair tho, trim it off an inch evry 6 weeks and eat healthy and drink water
