Chemical straitening ruin curly hair forever?

im getting my hair chemicaly straitened and cut tomorrow

i was wondering if it would make my hair never be curly again.

and if i get it strait would i be able to bleach and dye it?

i always thought that when your hair grew out it would be curly again but my mom said that it wouldnt. it would only be wavy

I used to have curly hair, and I got it chemically straightened. It only stayed for a while, kinda like when you get a perm and it eventually wears off. Now I still have curly hair, just not as curly. I'm sure everyone is different depending on how curly/thick their hair is.

Don't do it because your curly hair will be gone forever!

My friend got her hair chemically straightened and she can't even scrunch it anymore!

Yeah that's why my mom told me I can't get mine straightened.

I am in cosmetology school!!!!! DO NOT CHEMICALLY STRAIGTEN YOUR HAIR!!! if you plan on dying and bleaching.. it'll ruin your hair way worse then a perm! you should never never never CS hair that has already been dyed or especially bleached!

When it grows out it will be curly, just like when you dye your hair, when the hair grows out it goes back to your normal color. The chemicals won't affect it's natural curliness.

whatever processing you do to your hair only affects the hair that is alread grown, the new growth that you have since straightening won't be affected by the chemicals. That sounds like alot for your hair to handle, though, it can make it really weak

It depends how curly. Tight curls or wavy curls. Bleach and dye would definitely destroy the hair. Hair will grow out and look the same as before you destroyed it with chemicals

Chemical straitening ruin curly hair forever?

No it's absolutly not true, your curly hair will start to come out of your roots . . . when your hair grows. . . So don't worry.

It makes the hair that you got straightened never curly again, but it will grow back out as curly.

Chemical straitening ruin curly hair forever?

no when your new non-chemicalled hair grows from your scalp it will be curly because, well, it dosent grow with chemical straightener!

Chemical straitening ruin curly hair forever?

When you straighten your hair, it only affects the treated hair. It will not affect new growth. I did this many times when I was younger and I know this to be true.

And yes, you can bleach and color your straightened hair but please be aware that each of these procedures will somewhat damage the hair - again, treated hair only - not new growth.

i dont think thats a good idea. if you chemically staighten ur hair and then dye it or bleach it, itll make ur hair relaly dry and its going to be really damaged. im pretty sure when ur hair grows out its going to be wavy. why dont you just buy a ceramic hair straightner? it straightens ur hair and it doesnt damage as much as regular hair straightner bcuz of its ceramic plate. that way you can go curly or straight depending on ur mood. i have curly/wavy hair and thats wat i do =]

Chemical straitening ruin curly hair forever?

no thats not true it will wear out in a year or so

and you can do so much more wth straight hair :D

xxGOODLUCK!xx
