I hear you on that one actually there is not anything you can do about it but i buy Thermasilk straight and smooth leave in cream (its a purple bottle)@ Walmart for like 3 or 4 bucks and it helps make it straight quicker when you blow dry it so less time trying to get it straight. I have really thick hair and long and way to curly so i feel ya on this. hope i helped

This may or may not work for you, but try wrapping your hair and tying it down for it to dry. Use a natural bristle brush to brush your hair around your head and keep it down with bobby pins or a satin scarf. Allow to dry this way. It will still be wavy, but not as curly. Look up how to wrap your hair on the web for more detailed instructions.

First of all, you're not going to want to dry any harsh products on your hair, like the shampoos and conditioners you get from drug stores. They are as strong as laundry detergent, which is made to take out stains--so it's way too abrasive. Get a good shampoo and conditioner like Bedhead. Now the only way you can get it straight without blow drying, you're either going to have to get a chemical straightener or you can let your hair dry until it's 80% dry--this means that the hair looks dry but feels wet. Then start blow drying it straight. Before hair is 80% dry, it doesn't matter if you try straightening it because it's too wet to be straightened--that's the reason it's best to wait until then. No product is going to make your hair go straight aside from a chemical straightener, which is very harmful. But doing the above will shave some time off. Just wash your hair, do something around the house while you're letting it air dry for a bit, then when it's barely damp, begin styling.
