Curly hair question???

why di crtain have curly hair (ex: me) and other people of the smae family (ex: older sister) have strightish/wavy hair???

Curly hair question???

It's just genetics, if you have curly hair and everyone else in your family has straight, it's just that you got a recessive gene. Or the postman's your father. :)

Curly hair question???

It's all in your genetics, honey, and I feel your pain. Just because your sister got a certain trait doesn't mean you will get it too. People are different; same family or not.

Curly hair extensions?

I was just wondering where i could find some nice curly hair extensions at? i have naturally straight blonde hair just below my shoulders, i have some normal extensions and when i curled them they looked gorgeous but the curls dont last long at all..anyone know of a website where i can get them?? i live in England and i am a student so cant really afford over 40/50 quid..thanks! xXx

Curly hair extensions?

where did u buy your straight hair extensions?

Curly hair extensions?

curl the extensions and put a wee bit o' hairspry on them

hope that helped!

Curly hair and perms?

i have naturally curly hair.

its nothing like crazy curly

however the length is at my lower back...so my curls are weighed down more and more as it grows..

im looking to get a perm to

a. bring the curls up a little more

b. and control the frizz

will this work? or no

Curly hair and perms?

If i where you i'd definatley go for it. I have afro hair and it was crazy to manage it so i got a perm and volia....my hair is easier to manage and looks great.

What sounds like it would be good for you is to go to a salon get your hair cut to about armpit level and then perm.

Dont forget that they are looaadds of diffreent perms about 7 types. Reading what you said bout your hair i'd go for the Stack perms, pin curl perms or Body perms. ( i had the Stack perm but thats cause i have an afro )

If you do use a perm and do it at home u must read the instructions VERY carefully because the timing is crucial, but if i where u just get one done at a salon.

I hope that i've helped and whatever you do im sure you'll look gawgus! xx

How to control really thick medium-coarse curly hair?

I have extremely thick, curly hair that is medium to coarse in texture due to my Greek heritage.

My hair is in layers so the issue is not volume, but shape. My ringlets always seem to separate by the end of the day, leaving me with a messy frizz look.

I've tried several Garnier products for curly hair, but they just make my hair look greasy and does nothing to control the poofy-ness; moreover, the Bedhead products make my hair feel really brittle. Finally, I'm allergic to Pantene because my scalp always feels like a swarm of fire ants has attacked me after using their products.

Currently, I'm using gel from Tresemme for curly hair but it doesn't seem to keep my ringlets in shape for long. Is there any other product out there that anyone recommends? Should I be using a gel or mousse? Thank you so much!

PS I do not straighten my hair or use a hair dryer.

How to control really thick medium-coarse curly hair?

The problem is that you're using inferior products. I also have long, curly hair and it's important to use a very reputable product specialized for your particular texture. Your hair needs lots of moisture because of it's thickness and courseness, as well as a product to control the curl because you don't want to straighten/blow dry.

The best product you can get for curly hair is Kerastase Oleo-Curl Range (see here: http://www.kerastase-usa.com/_en/_us/con... ). Of course there's no need to buy everything, but purchasing the shampoo and curl definiton oil will keep your curls looking healthy and moisturized. Unfortunately, curls tend to look dry, brittle, split or frizzy when they're not given large doses of moisture. I've used every brand you mentioned except for Tresemme as well as many others and this is the best line I've come across, and it's been recommended by every major hair stylist.

Another product I'd highly recommend is the Phyto Phytodefrisant Botanical Hair Relaxing Balm (see here: http://www.amazon.com/Phyto-Phytodefrisa... ). This product is free of chemicals (so it won't strip your hair of any moisture or cause any product-related damage). You simply apply it to damp hair and wait for it to dry. It straightens hair and gives it shine. Losing some of the curl might be the best way to keep your hair looking polished and sleek during the day.

Hope this helps :).

How to control really thick medium-coarse curly hair?

My hair is a lot like yours so I'll tell ya what I use.

I use Suave Sleek (knock-off of Matrix) shampoo and conditioner on my hair. They actually work better than the Matrix version for me. I do however use the Matrix Biolage gelee. It doesn't take a lot of it to keep my hair under control all day. No frizz, and no sticky residue.

Relaxing curly hair?

I am Mex-American and have really healthy, beautiful curly hair. I do love it, but need a change and am wanting to cut my hair to my shoulders and straighten it as well. Will going to a salon and having my hair relaxed or chemically straightened help remove the curl? I live in the south and humidity is a challenge anyway, but hope that relaxing or chemically straightening it will in the everyday process in addtion to the occasional flat iron.

Thanks for any help.

Relaxing curly hair?

I would suggest that you not chemically alter your hair without knowing the consequences. If you are not familiar with taking care of relaxed hair then you are guaranteed to have breakage. You will need to visit your stylist weekly, biweekly to help your hair adjust to the relaxer. A hair stylist will be able to use the best moisturizing conditioners and treatments to help your transition.

I would encourage you to try new things. Your hair will continue to grow, so if you don't like the relaxer, your curly hair will grow back and you can stop getting the relaxers. You will not be able to use your flat iron as much on chemically treated hair. Chemically treated hair is as strong as natural hair.

I get relaxers twice a year. For the rest of the year, I have my roots pressed with a hot comb %26amp; flat ironed professionally every other week.

Relaxing curly hair?

Don't relax your hair!!!

If you don't keep relaxing it it will break off!!!

yes you would lose a lot of beautiful hair.

DON"T DO IT!!!

Relaxing curly hair?

I'm from New Mexico (I live in Illinois now) and it shocked me that Mexicans used chemical relaxers in their hair like African Americans do-so apparently, yes it does work. Now, I just want to say that every person is different. It is good that you say going to a salon because that is where I think it would be best for you to get it done first. You don't want to go bald experimenting on your own.

Relaxing curly hair?

it will definetly help you ALOT. the only thing you must take into consideration is that when you get anything done to your hair chemically, your new growth will not be touch by those chemicals. so just like color, your going to have to keep getting it touched up and depending on where you go and how fast your hair grows it can get rather expensive. if you have the money and the time to put into it then i would go for it. if not then its probably best just to try to pull it dry with a paddle brush as much and you can and then flar iron. good luck :)

Relaxing curly hair?

Whatever you do, don't get it chemically straightened. In the long run, it's very damaging for your hair.

In my opinion, don't get the curl removed. If you're wanting it straight sometimes though, find a shampoo that pre-treats your hair in the shower for straightening. Then while it's damp, put a smoothing serum and protectant spray in it. Then blowdry on low and flat iron straight. Finish with dab of shine cream. Ta-da! Hope this helps! =)

Curly Hair To Straighter Hair?

i have curly, poofy hair and want to get rid of it. how can i make it straiter?

Curly Hair To Straighter Hair?

I got this generic straightener from Sally Beauty and I got to tell you I have totally curly nappy hair and it got my hair bone straight in 15 minutes. Never had that happen with any irons. Even when I got it straighter...it used to take 2 hours min.

Curly Hair To Straighter Hair?

get it professionally done. they can perminately straighten your hair for you.

Curly Hair To Straighter Hair?

they have straighters you can buy.

Curly Hair To Straighter Hair?

I have a TIGI Hardcore straightener that works wonders on my curly hair.

Curly Hair To Straighter Hair?

I do too so i straighten my hair with ceramic hair straightener or blow dry it. Definitely worth it!

Curly Hair To Straighter Hair?

I like side bangs.

Curly Hair To Straighter Hair?

Okay, best solution is buying a good hair straightner. Go To Sally's Beauty Supply and you can find a great selection. I have "Helen of Troy" iron straightner and it works perfect, and it goes up to 430 degrees. Make sure you buy gold, or black CERMAIC! straightners. They will cost around 30-100 dollars, but they are worth it=] sometimes they are in clearance too. But yea do not trust "silver plastic straightners" they suck! hope i helped=] I believe walmart has another good selection too.

Curly Hair To Straighter Hair?

iron

Curly Hair To Straighter Hair?

i have the same problem...i blow dry my hair using a brush and combing while i dry it and then i use a straightener like a hot iron straightener and i also use kms straight hair remedy and it works fantastically try it out

Curly Hair To Straighter Hair?

Put a relaxer in your hair, or flat iron your hair.

Curly Hair To Straighter Hair?

hello.. get some clip in hair extentions, straight ones, they look very natural and give good lenghth to ur hair. then straighten u curly bits ontop. wallaaaaa

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

so i have medium/long curly hair

i want to have side swept bangs and layers because i feel like my think hair all one layer is ugly and makes me look odd.

i'm afraid i won't be able to manage bangs unless i straighten them and that too would look odd. what do i do?

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

that's wat i did because i have really curly hair too and i got bangs and i straighten them every morning it looks really

good too so i think that u should do it and if you cant straighten it

then leave it curly and clip it on to a side hope this helps best of luck

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

I have curly hair with like a little longer then shoulder length and i wanted to get side layered bangs also, but im going to be straightening them, if i dont then just put them back with a bobby pin. having curly hair and then side bangs doesnt look odd. Report It

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

:)

i had the same problem, but you know

if you wash ur hair, pass the blow dryer for a few minutes

to ur bangs %26amp; then you put hairspray. not to much but not to little

leave it, and next morning your bangs will be straight

and will stay that way untill you wash ur hair again Report It

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

leave it the way it is.. it probably doesnt look that bad

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

oooooohhhh get straight bangs!! that'll be cool.

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

sway bangs would look cute you should go for it

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

Unless you're committed to straightening your bangs every day (and dealing with rain and humidity that will curl them again) you should stick with long layers in your curly hair.

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

don't to it, find a hair dresser who specializes in curly hair and she can layer it so it won't frizz. the bangs could be parted down the side and blended with the curls if cut properly. you will never have side swept bangs unless you flat iron your whole head.

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

Curly hair with bangs doesn't look that good unless you straighten it. If your hair is all one length, just get layers.

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

you should get layered hair, because I have curly hair and have layers, it looks great! but the bangs,it depends on you. will it look good on u? if yes, then get them, if no, dont get them.

Good luck! ^_^

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

Don't do it unless you have the time and commitment of straightening them every single day... which would be really damaging and wouldn't match curly hair too well! It's a cute style but it's not meant for all hairtypes (including mine lol) :( Just stick with the long layers for now...

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

Don't because my daughter has the same hair and she screwed it up by cutting it into bangs.Long is sexy and romantic and makes you look more femine.%26lt;spelled that wrong.Long wavy hair also you can do more ask a stylist.

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

if you have a round face, do not get straight across bangs. that makes you look like a little kid. Go into a salon, tell them what they want. Be sure to tell them exactly what you what. If they suggest something, ask to see a picture of it. If you want a quick fix, part your hair on the side to give it a new look. It may be closer to the look you want than you think.

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

I have extrememly curly hair and have the side bangs. You do have to straighten them, unless they are on the longer side for when you go curly. I straighten my hair everyday so I obviuously just manage it like that. I dont look odd when i just straighten my bangs and leave the rest wavy or curly. Good luck :) take a chance, why not, its hair it will grow back

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

Straighten your hair, thats what my mom did and it looks awesome.

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

do it. i have side swept bangs and i keep my natural curls but i flat iron my bangs. it looks good

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

Try straightening just the bangs and tuck the ends behind the ear, that should give you an idea of what it would look like...before you make it permanent!

I have curly hair and have really wanted bangs due to a high forehead. I ALWAYS regret it. I don't know what haute couture is with hair right now, but it never looks right (at least on me) to have straight bangs.

I do recommend layers.

I read a book called "Curly Girl", I don't recall by whom. You should check it out. It says to find a hair cutter who knows how to cut curly hair (usually one that has curly hair herself). She also has a great deal of advice on the proper care of curly hair. I used to hate my curly hair and straightened it for everything (a 45 min job since my hair is past my mid back). Now I love it.

I've also heard that you can spend a lot on a hair cut twice a year, and one of those cheaper places should be able to maintain it between cuts. (If you can't afford a fancy one.)

Good Luck

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

I have curly hair and I love my bangs. I straighten them almost everyday and it only takes a couple of minutes. It gives my hair a little more dimension so it doesn't look like it is just "there".

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

Yeah, you would probably have to straighten them, and you need to consider if you would want to do that everyday. You might want to just consider getting an angle in the front, so its shorter but not as short as bangs. Layering is also a great idea, it helps so much.

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

Bangs and curly hair don't mix.

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

ok when i wash my hair it becomes really curly

and i have long and thick hair.

i straichten it everyday and tie it back

i really want to leave it down but it gets puffy and frizzy

what can i do???

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

there really is no natural answer to this question, you have to experiment with what works for you...but what i do is i use the strongest anti-frizz hairspray they make everyday so i can leave it down and not cooped up in a hat...its tough but girls love my curly hair..so....it works....good luck

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

my hair them exact same and if not worse, i bought a HIGH quallity hair strightner and hair softener from cvs trust me the money for the hair straighter is worth it if u have a danna cole near u go there! best palce 2 buy 1!!!

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

I swear to you that I have the curliest hair ever!

After showering, I use Got 2 Be Glued.

http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a...

It's amazing and cheap. Keeps my curls nice for a couple days. I will say that unless i dry it with a towel after I put the stuff in, it doesn't get crunchy but otherwise it will. But It might be the price you have to pay for awesome curls.

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

It sounds like you need to put some product on your locks. I recommend using a nice conditioner that you comb through your hair while you're in the shower. Rinse it, then, apply a leave-in conditioner, such as Infusium, to your hair especially concentrating on the ends of your hair. Next, squeeze a small amount of a lightweight, flexible holding gel in the palm of your hand and then rub your hands and fingers together (basically, get it all over your hands) then, take your hands and fingers and apply the gel throughout your hair usin your fingers as a "comb." Continue finger-styling your hair until you're satisfied with the look, and, to really combat the frizz, let your hair air dry rather than blow drying it. (Some people use a diffuser, however, personally, I think they make the hair frizzier. So, I wouldn't use one.)

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

Wash with a straightening shampoo, eg. sunsilk straight and sleek. Dry with hair drier pointing down from top of ur head. Get really good hair straighteners... GHD's if you can afford some ! And when you straighten your hair so it with heat protection spray and put it in sections to be straightened so ur not trying to do so much at once. And finally put some hair serum in after that should help it stay straight ! :) Hope this helps. It's what I do and I have very frizzy hair without. Also a decent hair cut :)

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

i have the same problem. i have had my hair chemically straightened but it only helped for a couple of months. next time you get your hair cut, ask them to thin it with a razor. once i did that, it was easier to brush and would stay straighter longer when i used a flat iron. now it seems to stay straight until the next wash. also, if your worried about frizz and stuff, then find something in the hair dept. that can be used on your hair before using the flat iron. good luck!

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

MY HAiR iS REALLY CURLY 2.THiS iS WAT i DO U WiLL NEED GEL AND HOLDiNG SPRAY. ALSO SCRUNCH HAiR SO UR HAiR WONT LOOK CURLY STRAIGHT SO IT CAN B CURLY AND BOUNCY! LOL!

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

shower at night before you go to bed.

comb a leave in conditioner through your hair about 10 minutes after you get out of the shower, then a straightening mousse (like herbal essences dangerously straight pin straight mousse).

wait a little longer and put in about a quarter sized amount of an anti-frizz serum, focusing on the ends, not the roots or your hair will look greasy!

then wait until your hair is halfway dried, and blowdry your hair, using a brush, aiming down (not underneath and up or upside down!!!) when you're done, flat iron it if it's not already straight from the blowdry. then, put your hair into a low ponytail and go to bed.

when you wake up in the morning, you may have a dent from the hair band, but just straighten over that part and you'll be fine. apply a little more anti frizz serum if needed, and some straightening hairspray (like herbal essences dangerously straight pin straight hairspray)

i hope this helped!

good luck! :)

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

Try Aveda spray gel and a light spray leave-in conditioner. It works for me and I've got kinky curly hair.

If you like your curls, I would forego using the straightening iron anymore. The heat just kills your hair. Plus, I don't know where you live, but if its the slightest bit humid, your hair will get puffy. At least, thats what mine does.

Good luck. Experiment with products till you find what works for you. Love your CURLS!!! :-)

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

I have the same problem and have had it all my life. What i do to keep it straight all day is...First off I never buy the straighteners that are Wet to Dry because it doesn't work as well as you think it should. But switch up your shampoo and use something that is smooth and silky! Then what i have is tres emme heat tamer spray. Its like 5 or 6 dollars at Wal mart and Walgreens. Spray that before you blow dry your hair because it helps with the fly aways and frizz. After your hair is completely dry then seperate and straighten like normal. It works for me and I don't have any trouble with my hair frizzing up or getting all curly again! The secret is the heat tamer by tres semme...it works wonders because after you blow dry your hair is already mostly straight and all you have to do is run your straightener through it to keep it that way. Good luck!

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

Use and anti frizz serum (such as john freda (extra strenght)) and apply that to damp hair. Use a straighning balm (they have lots of brands at any store like target and walmart) The tresseme brand is good. Its also VERY IMPORTANT to use a heat defense cream. Let it air dry over night (or blow dry if you dont have time) and straighten it in the morning. Use the dove brand flexable hold aerosal hairspray. Make sure you have a good flat iron. That may be the problem as well.

If you want the really good stuff (expensive though) The "sleek" by Matrix is amazing. You can get this at a salon or try walmart. They have a web site as well

http://www.matrix.com/products/sleek_loo...

Heres websites of the other products so you can know what they look like.

The john frida collection works just as well as the Matrix at half the price.

Dove brand hairspray

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

Moisture, moisture, moisture. Get a good deep conditioner. Or *lightly* apply some jojoba or coconut oil. That will help with the frizzies.

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

I too, being latin (Portuguese) have this problem as well. However, all of the new products that exist today have answered many a prayer from a person with curly hair. You must use a straighten up (products that state straight/frizz free/completely straight/etc.) shampoo and conditioner that is specifically for curly hair, straightening/anti-frizz/curl tamer. Also you can put leave in conditioner (make sure that it is a lightweight one (it can weigh your hair down), or if you do not want to use a leave in mousse is great also. Then finally, use a glossy serum that combats frizz and fly aways. I love Pantene products, Sebastian, Straight products (CVS) and a host of others (Ulta has a great selection). Another note, when you have curly hair it is imperative that you use good hair Ion tools! Good Luck!

Curly hair help-- please?

I have already curly hair. do you think it would help if i used curl defining products on it to make it more curly? because right nowit is more like zigzag tight curls.

Curly hair help-- please?

i use to have that problem. but tresemme curl mousse stuff and curl locking spray works miracles. [[trust me i've used just about everything and thats the best]]

Curly hair help-- please?

yeah.

it will make more defined.

use pantene pro-v curling products.

Curly hair help-- please?

no get a curling iron and curl your hair that way its not too curly or too loose. it will make your hair nice and soft and if your got a man which you do then you would need to get wash and set then curl and then spray some oil sheen on it but not too much because you dont want him to be greasy.

Curly hair help-- please?

well, it really depends on what you want. fi you like your hair the way it is, dont change anything youre doing to it. if you'd like it to have more defined curls, then use the curl shampoo. i'd prefer to use the shampoo to make it more curly, but whatever you want! :)

Curly hair help-- please?

curl defining products help control the frizz, and helps you to create wonderful styles - try using curl enhancing shampoo - Love shampoo for curl definition is pretty good - found in most reputable hair dressers, and SP curl enhancer is excellent - combining these 2 methods makes really nice looking curls with shine.

My curly hair, needs a hair cut?????

I'm looking for a place to get my hair cut, but I want someone who knows how to work with curly hair. Any suggestions that won't cost me an arm and a leg???? Please help.

My curly hair, needs a hair cut?????

I've got really curly hair, and the best place I've been in the city is Charles Ifergan Salon on Oak Street. Its a bit pricey.... but as you know, it is hard to find a damn good stylist for curly hair. They are awesome.

My curly hair, needs a hair cut?????

Go to a place owned by a person of a different culture (someone that is chinese, or pakistani) those are the people who ususally dont charge much, and all hair dressers know how to work with curly hair

My curly hair, needs a hair cut?????

And you asked in travel? My, my...

My curly hair, needs a hair cut?????

Go to a salon that you think you can trust first. You don't want to avoid going to a mid priced salon just because of the price. You can get a good cut for $30-$40. Remember this is your hair they are dealing with. You don't want to beat yourself up after a bad haircut because you decided to go somewhere cheaper. If you want to cut down on the price, don't style it after wards. Go home and put your own products in it.

When you go to a salon, don't be afraid to ask questions.

Here are some examples:

How long have you been cutting hair?

Are you comfortable with cutting curly hair?

Do you regularly cut hair similar to mine?

Don't be afraid to give instructions or requests.

ex:

I need to make an appointment with an experienced stylist.

I want long layers.

My hair doesn't blow dry well.

Finally,. trust your gut. If you have a bad feeling about the stylist, then get out while you can. If you are walking to the chair and your stylist sits you down and you notice a horrible dye job or that their hair doesn't look cute and that bothers you, run. Trust me, their feelings won't be hurt longer than yours will be after they butcher your hair.

I wish you the best of luck!

P.S.

You might want to move your question to Beauty and Syle%26gt;Hair.

My curly hair, needs a hair cut?????

I get my haircut at Village Cutting Room. It's on Damen in Roscoe Villiage (I believe).

If you're interested, a friend of mine's wife cuts hair. She used to work in a salon but now works independently out of a salon close to the Diversey el stop. My wife uses her and recommended her to a lot of her friends and they all like her. If you're interested, e-mail me and I'll give you the information -- gallo52321@yahoo.com.

My curly hair, needs a hair cut?????

try walmart

My curly hair, needs a hair cut?????

Call the Aveda salon on Diversey and Clark. These are students, but I always got a great cut and color there-you do have to make an appointment, but if you schedule them regularly, your curly hair will become more manageable.

I have curly hair and i want to strighten it an easy way please help me?

ok i tried ironing it both ways regular iron and a hair iron it worked for a couple of hours then kinda wavy again i bought shampoos and cond. to strighten it i dont want to use gel or hair spray i hate that hard feeling on hair i really dont know what to do i have a little girl that has curly hair and it would help me out alot and her to poor thing thanks yall for helping

I have curly hair and i want to strighten it an easy way please help me?

What you should to is after you wash it, blow dry it, and make it as straight as you can, but dry it in sections. Meaning, clip some on the top of your head, dry the bottom, then do another layer, etc. And then after, straighten it with a salon hair straightener. I have that same problem, my hair is evil.

I have curly hair and i want to strighten it an easy way please help me?

i've been throught that.. and i'm sorry but your just gonna have to buy a PROFESSIONAL iron.. you can only get that from a salon or beuty supply store. i recommend these ones and there's no way you can go wrong with these brands:

chi, babyliss, corioliss, ghd, solia, sedu..

all are $100-200 CAD.

I have curly hair and i want to strighten it an easy way please help me?

Use John Frieda's Frizz Ease. Put small amounts of the serum in your hair and then blow dry straight using a flat brush. Works like a charm -- very soft -- no frizz. Comes in different varieties depending on how curly your hair is ...

I have curly hair and i want to strighten it an easy way please help me?

try using a straightener

i have curly hair too and i use a straightener called maxiglide and it works perfectly it leaves my hair really straight and it last for a long time

I'm more an eyes guy myself, but my girl's hair isn't straight... it's amazing... it's wavy. and i like it. to me, shape doesn't matter (because i'm an eyes guy) as much as length (i usually only go for the shoulder-length or longer, but that's me).

hope this helps.

Do guys like curly/wavy hair ?

I like long straight silky soft hair long enough to reach the waist line

Do guys like curly/wavy hair ?

I think it depends on what you're wearing (accessories, make up, how special of an occasion) and how you plan on wearing your hair. Essentially, I like variety, so change it up every so often so that it doesn't get boring. Overall, don't let your hair outshine your personality because how a girl's hair looks is one of the last things I look at (unless it's outrageous and ridiculous like a nest).

Any curly Hair tips...for males? :O?

When my hair is long enough it does a sort of messy/half-curly thing I really like, but the problem is that it just frizzes and poofs out like some white-boy afro...and because I have a Scottish heritage my head is pretty large, so when my hair is long enough to curl, it just makes my head look even bigger.

What can I do to keep it from frizzing too much? conditioner?

And should I get my hair thinned to take away some of the thickness, and make my head look smaller? I've heard that make it worse.

Any curly Hair tips...for males? :O?

Start with using a shampoo %26amp; conditioner for curly hair. Then towel blot and to your damp hair apply John Freida's frizz-ease serum. And for hold you can apply a mousse to your hair and leave it. My bf has thick curly hair and he uses Sedal- Hydraloe leave-in for curly.wavy hair. It's amazing. It's part curling activator/ hair moisturiser. So then he puts this in his hair he doesnt need anything else. It makes his curls more defined and not frizzy at all. Don't kno if you'd be able to find that product though.

your should go get a cut professionally. Stylist use razors to cut your hair when hair is to thick and they try to minimize the thickness and make it more manageable.

Any curly Hair tips...for males? :O?

get some straighteners, one of my best friends has the same problem

Any curly Hair tips...for males? :O?

Any curly Hair tips...for males? :O?

Aussie has this stuff, it's anti frizz spray, I can't remember exactly what it's called but it works.

And conditioner would help lots too.

Any curly Hair tips...for males? :O?

Frizzease (UK product - if you are in America I am sure there is something similar - take a look on the internet). Thinning may also help, and possibly layers in your hair too. Perhaps a trip to the hairdressers for a chat? Good luck!

Any curly Hair tips...for males? :O?

You can apply gel.

Any curly Hair tips...for males? :O?

Go buy you a bottle of Frizz-Eaze Serum by John Freda. It is the best frizz control out there. If your hair fine textured, be sure and get the light formula of Frizz-Eaze.

Any curly Hair tips...for males? :O?

just keep it natural, don't straighten it, the smallest bit of moisture and it Will curl again.

the best thing is to soak your hair with water and then get frizz ease and put it all over your head and let it dry naturally, the other thing that i use is a dry oil spray not on the roots but at the ends this seems to work as it weighs the hair down

good luck!

Curly hair? but it gets all frizzy=/ help!?

simple:

-wash hair, DO NOT scrub your hair with a towel. scrunch your hair with the towel to dry it a bit.

-use LEAVE IN CONDITIONER to get rid of frizzes

-maybe you're using the wrong mousse. Try Heberl Esscense SET IT UP mousse. It's really good. Scrunch your hair

-try not to use gel with mousse, instead HAIRSPRAY with herbel essence SET IT UP hairspray, i used it last night and my curls are still in place.

-DO NOT touch.

look for products that are more suited for curly hair

hope this helps!

Curly hair? but it gets all frizzy=/ help!?

If you don't now, then only brush it immediately after you shower, and not too much. Also, try brushing it with a comb instead of a brush. Use Tresseme Non-Frizzy hair gel it works great, and for when your hair's dry, try spray Sydney-Smooth by Aussie, also works great.

Good Luck!

Curly hair question.. plzz?

i love the way scene hair looks. are there anyways to get curly scene hair. or at least an edgy cut. pics would be wesom!(girl btw)

Curly hair question.. plzz?

curly hair rocks!

Curly hair question.. plzz?

I really want to know that to!

I want edgy hair, but my hair is curly and I really don't want to straighten it every day. I'm going to see if you get any awnsers...

What I do though, instead of straightening all my hair, I straighten my bangs every now and then. They are long and go over one eye, and I leave the rest of my hair curly. It's emo/scene and my friends love it =)

Curly hair question.. plzz?

well I have "scene" hair,

I dont really call it Scene but whatever.

and my hair is naturally only two inches long,

I use extentions every single day,

first I straighten my regular hair,

then I glue or clip in my extentions,

and just curl them ir straighten them

Curly hair. hairstyle help?

my hair is curly and damaged so it doesnt look too curly anymore. its dry and ive struggled with finding hairstyles that fit.

in the end i just go back to the same old bun or a ponytail that halfway down has another scrunchie around it.

My hair is curly too, and I use a curl-enhancing shampoo and conditioner (Sunsilk, Pantene Pro-V and Herbal Essences are great), and then a moisturizing/curl-enhancing cream.

If you blowdry it with a diffuser on the end and run some curling mousse into it, I'm sure it'll look great.

Curly hair. hairstyle help?

i have curly hair to and since i straightened it a lot last year cause i didnt like it it lost some curl so wat i do is put it half up half down then scrunch it with ringlet. it make ur normal curls nicer. and it looks pretty :) so yea i would try that.

Curly hair. hairstyle help?

My hair is very curly too. I definitely make sure that when I'm planning on fixing it that I use shampoo and conditioner. I like Kerastase oleo-curl, which is kind of pricey, but it works great. Then make sure you use plenty of light-weight product, and blow dry with a diffuser with high heat and high power. Good Luck!

Curly hair. hairstyle help?

Go to a hair stylist immediately! They should be able to offer you lots of help. They'll cut it in layers, removing as much of the dead ends as possible. Then ask for a deep conditioning treatment, which will help more than store-bought ones. After you get done there, make sure you do buy some shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair. To style it, use no-frizz cream, moveable gel, and a bit of hairspray.

Curly hair. hairstyle help?

The best advice I can give you is to get a good hair cut that will take all of the damaged hair off and leave you with beautiful hair again. You just need to sit down and look over some styles you like that you think you will be able to fix your self. Good luck! There are beaut ions out there that know how to cut the curl into your hair so it is more manageable.

Is curly hair or straight hair better on a male?

I have straight hair and my friend has curly hair and we were wonder what is better looking?

Is curly hair or straight hair better on a male?

it depends on how you take care of it , and how it matches with you features ...

i think both are hot ..

because i go with curly hair once and straight hair other times ..

and i love the way i look in both of them

Is curly hair or straight hair better on a male?

it kinda depends. personally i like it straight.

Is curly hair or straight hair better on a male?

depends.

Is curly hair or straight hair better on a male?

it depends..but i think curly

Is curly hair or straight hair better on a male?

it would help if you post a picture

Is curly hair or straight hair better on a male?

Straight. Layered. With bangs.

Is curly hair or straight hair better on a male?

It depends on how well kept it is. My boyfriend has long hair passed his shoulders and I keep it well groomed from split ends and it's beautiful. I always have my fingers in his hair because I like to play with it. It's part of being a stylist. Then, you have some guys who have the beautiful curly hair. If it's well manageable and maintained with no split ends and not all over the place, then it probably looks good. I am not going to judge who has the better hair here because nobody answering this question can see your hair and it's not fair to us if we can't see it. However, whoever has it well groomed and no split ends would have the better looking hair in my opinion. But if it's frizzy and out of control, sorry it wouldn't be better looking.

Is curly hair or straight hair better on a male?

all my crushes have straight hair... lol...

but it really depends with the shape of the face and how you look...

Is curly hair or straight hair better on a male?

Depends on many factors.

No type of hair is 'better' - it just depends on whether or not you know how to 'work it'.

Curly hair and I straighten it?

I have curly hair and I want to start straightening it more often. I was wondering what type of products to use to get the healthiest, prettiest hair I can get for a low price?

thanks for the help.

Curly hair and I straighten it?

I suggest you invest in a GOOD hair straightener, i suggest the HAI (thats the brand), it costs about $80-$150 and goes all the way up to 400 degrees, but i promise to you, its 100% worth every penny, it lasts forever and does the BEST job ive ever seen, and i have curly, thick, unmanageable hair, so for it to work for me is a darn miracle, so if you hair is like mine youll be shocked at how good your hair will turn out, good luck!

Curly hair and I straighten it?

Redken makes a protien treatment called 'CAT'. My sister straightens her hair all the time, so she has to use it. What you do is you put it in your hair during the shower, leave it in for 5-10 minutes and it repairs your hair. It works wonders!

Curly hair and I straighten it?

Helen of Troy straightener is really good ihave one and it works wonders!

Curly hair and I straighten it?

this stuff can be expensive but i sugust going to a bedhead store and they have several relaxers and soothersbut they wor awesomely

Curly hair and I straighten it?

My daughter has naturally curly/wavy hair; and the best way I have found to straighten it, without a whole lot of work is this....

After a shower and your hair is wet, you should apply non-frizz oil substance into your hair as well as styling mousse. Comb the hair products into your hair thoroughly. Once you have done that, comb your hair in a 'Wrap' formation around your hair, so that eventually your hair will be combed in a circular motion around your head. Do this so that you can wrap your hair up, with a night cap. Tie the night cap onto your head and go to sleep.

The next day, remove your night cap and slowly, comb your hair down, and your hair should have dried straight. You can also use a flat iron over your hair to ensure that it stays striaght through the day.

Wavy / curly hair -- I NEED HELP?

My hair looks kind of like this, except more frizzy and thicker (if I don't do anything to it and let it dry naturally) :

http://www.beautifulhairstyles.com/long/...

I want my hair to look like this :

http://www.beautifulhairstyles.com/long/...

Or sometimes this :

http://www.beautifulhairstyles.com/curly...

Anybody have any good styling techniques or good hair products to help me achieve those looks? (Money's not an issue, so give me what you have!)

Wavy / curly hair -- I NEED HELP?

The first thing you need is to go out and get a good haircut for wavy hair. Somebody who works in a salon can help you decide how to cut it. Then what I do is I use a product called cursl up mousse and "scrunch" my hair up with a couple of paper towels. That way I can just let it dry naturally without a lot of work and it looks tidy and curly.

Wavy / curly hair -- I NEED HELP?

use sunslik products

they do WONDERS!!

haha good luck, i have similar hair kinda

=]

%26lt;33

Wavy / curly hair -- I NEED HELP?

Don't blow dry it on high heat. I would blow dry it on heat for a little then on cold, although i wouldn't recommend blowdrying at all. I like towel drying better. First put in leave-in if u wanna blowdry. Then use a serum to get rid of frizz, add shine, and smooth it out. I'd recommend Herbal Essences leave in and Garnier serum. After it's dry, I like to comb it with my fingers in order for it not to frizz up. I sometimes brush with a large tooth comb, but NEVER a fine tooth because it frizzes your hair like a mother. I'm a guy and my hair is short so idk if it will work for long hair...hope this helps!

P.S. I don't like Sunsilk...It makes your hair smell bad after a while and it really doesn't work for me.

Wavy / curly hair -- I NEED HELP?

the 3rd one definatly

I have thick, curly, frizzy hair and it's impossible to work with! HELP!?

I usually just wash it, brush it and let it air dry into small ringlets, but I've been doing that for a really long time, and I'm so bored with it but if I brush my hair when it's not wet, it frizzes so much that it basically stands out horizontally from my head, no matter how much I brush it, and tying it back is almost impossible. I've also tried straightening my hair, and been considering keeping it straight (like straightening it every day), but my current hairstyle is really boring when straight.

It's blonde, and when straightened my hair goes to the end of my shoulderblades, but when curly only just to my shoulders. I don'tn have any bangs, even I really want some, but I just can't get them to work with curly hair. So I've been considering getting it cut, and keeping it straight, but I don't know how to get it cut, or if I should even get it cut at all...

Help?

I have thick, curly, frizzy hair and it's impossible to work with! HELP!?

Contact a a stylist who specializes in curly hair, have you tried an ethnic salon? I am sure there are products out there. Just remember don't do anything drastic! Try the online hairstyle sites that let you upload a photo of your face to try on different styles and colors. Have you tried the Chi? Do you have a Sally's Beauty Supply? Ask who is a licensed stylist and get a few opinions. Good Luck!

I have thick, curly, frizzy hair and it's impossible to work with! HELP!?

It sounds like you're a perfect candidate for dreads or twists. Stop fighting your hair's natural character and embrace the frizz!

I have thick, curly, frizzy hair and it's impossible to work with! HELP!?

Hey my mum has reallyyyy curly hair and I know that when hers is long she can't work with it much. At the moment she has bangs that she straightens some times, her hair is short but and it sits on the back of her head. It looks really nice and some times she pins her bangs back into her hair aswell. It's kind of hard to explain wat it looks like so here is a picture simular to wat its like..

http://gimps.de/wettbewerb/albums/userpi...

but hers is a little shorter..Good luck any ways

I have thick, curly, frizzy hair and it's impossible to work with! HELP!?

i'm half black so my hair is thick and impossible curly. I used to have the worst time trying to make it look nice when it wasn't in a pony.

Then, my boyfriend of all people taught me curly trick.

shampoo your hair, but don't condition it. When you get out of the shower, slightly towel dry your hair then bombard it with some type of moisture replenishing/frizz control conditioner. I use Herbal Essence's Hello Hydration.

While your applying it, do so by pulling it down and out, making it longer. My hair loosens up, looks longer, still has curls, and smells amazing.

Just a tip. I used to straighten my hair all the time, but after awhile your hair just burns and smells like burn. It's also not healthy for it either. My hair never grew, it always broke off, but since I stopped killing it with straighteners, hot combs, dyes, and such, and just feeding it conditioner, it's been softer, calmer, and growing well.

Does curly hair look good dyed black?

i have brown hair right now and its pretty healthy. i have naturally curly hair but i am thinking of dying it black, should i get it permanently straightened but will that ruin it with the coloring too? my hair is my avatars color also i have hazel eyes and fair skin but im not ghostly pale so...help!!

Does curly hair look good dyed black?

! i think curly hair will look great in black!!!

Does curly hair look good dyed black?

My mom has black curly hair and it looks great!

Sorry, I dont have any pics, but She is kinda pale and her hair still looks good. Just make sure to never wear alot of blush hahaha XD

Good luck!

Does curly hair look good dyed black?

If I were you I would go for a very dark brown. Black can often look very harsh, especially on a pale face. Try looking on Google or at celebs who have the style you want.

Does curly hair look good dyed black?

if u tryin to say u want a relaxer nd dye ur hair dat would mess up ur hair! u gonna have to always put treatment on ur hair nd is dangerous if u dye ur hair light wit a relaxer on! like u can do it but u really have to take care of it!

Does curly hair look good dyed black?

ok, black looks sooo fake if they have a color book that shows what they have look for a dark, dark , natural looking brown. beware the sun though! the u.v rays make dark hair fade and that means you will need it dyed often. if you want to keep your hair naturally healthy don't dye it!

Does curly hair look good dyed black?

dont get it permantly straightend! It can cause seerious hair damage, expecially after coloring. Curly hair looks awsome in black, it looks so shiny! i used to have very black hair (now it's lighter, long story) and pale skin and blue eyes, and it looks very nice. But look out, black dye has more peroxide than other dyes, so use a nice hair care mask once a week(more can cause product buildup, leaving hair dull) :) good luck

Curly hair styles/cuts?

I have really curly hair that never does what I want it to. Any suggestions on cute hairstyles or cuts I can do to help with this problem? I am getting it cut tomorrow...I just dont know what I want yet.

BTW my hair is a little longer then shoulder length when it is dry.

Curly hair styles/cuts?

Well, You can go to any pearler to straight your hair. Or contact to a beautician.

Curly hair styles/cuts?

long layers work...also curly sexy hair creme work great it keep ur curl define, and prevents frizzing...u can put in and let it air dry oooor...i recommend that u use the curly sexy hair creme, and put in BedHeads uptight and use a difuser (spray uptight as much as u want throughout) and blowdry hair on low and dry/scrunch it about 70% of the way done throw in some hairspray and ur good to go. ur hair will NOT be crunchy, it will look great if done right

Curly hair styles/cuts?

I have long, naturally curly hair too. And, I know how important it is to find a stylist who knows how to cut curly hair. I recommend that you find a DevaCurl salon to find someone who is trained in that method. My stylist is a DevaCurl stylist who follows that method -- cutting it dry -- because curls shrink once they're dry. So, cutting it wet, like most hairstylists are used to doing because they mainly cut straight hair, is actually not the best thing for curly hair. Check out: http://www.devaconcepts.com/ and click on the "Find a Salon" link to find one in your area. Also, do a google image search for "curly hairstyles" and you might find some that you like. Print out the picture and take it with you to the salon. Any good hairstylist who's worth a grain of salt will give you an honest consultation about what you should and shouldn't do regarding your curly hairstyle taking into consideration your face shape, hair condition and your lifestyle.

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

Hi! On christmas I got a flat iron made by conair. I had my hair straightened by a cousin once last year and I was thinking about doing straight hair (instead of my curly hair) for the first day back after winter break. I have a few questions though...........

Should I straighten it by myself or with help?

Can I straighten it straight after i get out the shower?

Can I starighten it after I put spray (detanglers, shines, hairspray) on it?

What the best system/routine to staighten hair?

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

i have some answers to your questions

Should I straighten it by myself or with help?

well help is always a good thing.. on your sides and in the front straightening your hair can be easy but places in the back where you cant reach or see can be challenging so if someone is avaliable and wants to help thats great!

Can I straighten it straight after i get out the shower?

thats what i do... i blow dry my hair a little and then using the straightener i straighten it

Can I starighten it after I put spray (detanglers, shines, hairspray) on it?

well you can but it would be best to see what effect these things had on your hair when it was straight.. you never know what some things will do o.O

What the best system/routine to staighten hair?

the best way to go about straightening your hair... is to do it as little as possible.. curly hair like yours and mine is often fragile and the more you straighten it the drier it get and the more fragile it gets .. so once in a while is fine but realize that straightening your hair is overall unhealthy for it

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

dont do it ur self

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

if u straighten it ur self, u might miss a few spots at the back so ask a friend to help u.. but not all the time

when get got out of shower n ur hait is wet dry it first n then strighten it. if ur strightener works for wet hair then its ok.

stright ur hait first n then put hair spray so it'll last longer.

put half of ur hair up first n start with bottom layer.

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

Things with the hair usually come better if you dont do it yourself.

A girl in my school tried to streighten her hair and now it looks like a giant poodle on her head.

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

straighten your hair yourself .

yes, you can straighten it when you get out of the shower .

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

I'll answer you're questions in order

well, getting the back can be tough,so you could ask for some help for that, but the rest you should be able to do on your own

it fries your hair if you do that. you need to blow dry it first or let it air dry..either one, although if your hair doesn't get really frizzy when you blow dry it,it's just not as curly.then blow dry it first, it will help

there are a lot of sprays and gel like stuff you can buy that you put on damp hair that helps straighten and protect your hair from heat..normally it adds shine too. put it on your hair and then either blow dry it or let it air dry, then get to work. put a tiny amount of hairspray in afterr you're all done straightening your hair

the night before straighten it, so when you get up, it might of gotten a little messed up, but you can just go over it really quick to fix it up. don't put hairspray in the night before, put it on when you're completley done doing your hair

also, if you straighten it everyday, your hair will start to fry and get split ends.

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

You have to get a routine going, when I first started doing my hair it took me between 1-2 hrs, now it only takes about 15 min. just section some hair and straighten when the iron is fully heated. use a mirror when you're done to check the back-make sure you move the top layer of hair and check underneath too. unless you have a straightener that works on wet hair you shouldn't do it right after a shower, it can damage your hair and makes it really frizzy. you should buy a thermal protective spray to put on it before you straighten and use it everytime you do-this helps to not damage the hair so much. The best routine I would say is blowdry hair as straight as possible, section hair, spray protective spray, go over with straightener until straight, brush, check hair with mirror........hope this helps :)

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

u should try to straighten as much as u can on ur own then let a freind get the spots that u missed ....u can staighten it after the shower ONLY!! if u have a straghtning iron that works on wet hair ..i would put all of those shines and stuff in ur hair after u starighten it but make sure u dont drench it .. the best routinee hmm i do it from the back of my head to the front .

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

First, blowdry your hair when you are out of the shower while brushing your hair . This will give your hair a softer feeling and will give it lift, allowing you to have volume after straightening with the iron so that you won't have flat and unattractive hair. After blowdrying, start to iron sections that didn't straighten out too good. Split your hair down the middle and work one side at a time. The best way is to go natural-do not put any products in your hair before straighting or blowdrying because it may be too sticky and stiff or even cause the hair to be more difficult to style because of the chemicals. Only use them afterwards-to shape or to polish the look.

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

I have curly hair and I have recently found a new way to straighten my hair. First I wash it and towel dry it then I put a leave on moose on. I then take a comb and and comb through it and wrap my hair around and get under a dryer. After it is semi dry, I then take my hair out and blow dry it until it is completely straight. I then style it to my liking.

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

Don't be disappointed if it doesn't work. My hair is curly too and I've tried every straightening balm/gel there is - cheap to expensive, and every straightening iron there is, and it will stay straight for an hour or so, but slowly the frizz and the curl will creep back in throughout the day. In high school I had it straightened at a salon for a prom (which took a very long time btw), and by the end of the night my hair was curly again. I've come to terms with the fact that I can't have straight hair.

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

heres my advice for the routine but try strigtning your hair a few days before the winter break 2 c if u like it straight...you can straighten your hair yourself but get some1 to help u with the back..put a little straightning balm/cream on your hair and smooth it in from root 2 tip ...and you can straigtner your hair after u use the cream just dont use loads...%26amp; for straightenin your hair after the shower i would'nt uless the straightners says u can use them on damp hair if not...make sure your hair is dry befor using them...gud luk

while there is nothing like a salon blow out, you can get the same results at home, you just have to be patient. first wash your hair and put a good straightening product on it. i use Redken smooth down or Bumble and Bumble straightening, am finding the Redken a little better right now. (cheaper too). you have to blow out your hair when it's still damp (use a round brush. I have super curly hair so i always put a little more product on the ends. your hair should be perfectly dry before using the flat iron before using it, otherwise you will fry it. OR.....you can use a wet to straight iron and not worry about that problem. either way, over time you can get close to salon results at home....good luck..I do it myself at least once a week. don't use hair spray, etc until you are done...but you can touch up for a few days without washing our your hari.

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

1)u can do the front alone then when u get to places u dont reach, ask some1 2 hepl u!

2) when im in a hurry i do staighten it rite after the shower but they say u mess up the sraightener and ur hair too

3) dont straighten it after u put hairspray or anything, just straighten it alone with out anything.

okay what i do is:

i shower, comb my hair out, let it dry, sraighten it from the front, get help for the back, straighten it all over again, then when im done put baby oil and brush it.

try it!

What product could I use on my curly hair?

I have curly hair, but ALWAYS straighten it because I have never been able to get my hair to look good curly. I'm getting sick of straigtening it because even though I have a really good flat iron, I know it's still hard on my hair.

My hair tends to run on the dry side. Whenever I wash my hair, I wait for it to dry about halfway, then put bedhead afterparty in a couple times. Then I use Ego Boost Split End Mender on the ends. Last night I did that, and didn't flat iron it because I wasn't going anywhere, and wanted to see what it looked like curly. It didn't too too bad! So I'm thinking I want to try doing it curly sometime. What product could I use to make it look better? And would I still use the other BedHead products I'm using, PLUS my new product? How do I put the product in? I'm including links of what my hair looked like LAST time I didn't straighten it because i wasn't going anywhere. Last night it looked better than in these pics though.

What product could I use on my curly hair?

your hair is very similar to mine actually :] what i do it use garnier fructis soft curl creme. its decent and cheap. but if your looking for something with more hold, pretty much any higher and thing that is labeled curl cream will work very well. the best way i have found to manage my hair though, is that I put some type of curl styling creme in it while its wet and I spray it with heat protection spray. then, i separate my hair into two halves (left and right) and i take maybe one inch sections and twist them. once i have twisted all of them, i wrap one of those little rubber black elastcs around the tips and all the twists. so my then, i have two sections of my hair, each with a lot of little twists tied off at the end. then I use a diffuser attachment on my blowdrier on high heat to dry the twists. when they seem dry, tke out the two elastics and put a lightly spritz hairspray over your head. let the twists set and just before you leave the house, separtae each twist and youve got really pretty curls :] sorry, that was kinda long. but it REALLY works for me and it doesnt take that long. but seriously, it looks liek your hair is really similar to mine so you should try it. if you have any questions feel free to email me at carolightning@gmail.com

Frizzy Curly hair...?

But I have Frizzy curly hair, so (before I knew it was bad for my hair) I started straightening it and blow drying it. Now my hairs really damaged so it's even frizzier. is there any cream/spray that REALLY cuts down on friz and possibly even tames the curls a bit?

Frizzy Curly hair...?

you need to use lots of conditioner and do deep treatments weekly to help lessen the damage.

if your ends are fried you should get a trim.

find styling products that work with your hair so you can wear it naturally curly.

stay away from products with alcohol in because it is drying (specifically sd alcohol).

i am really liking garnier fructis sleek and shine shampoo and conditioner right now. don't rinse all of the condish out... and you can use the conditioning leave in cream (same brand).

Visit http://www.naturallycurly.com they have excellent forums for lots of different curl types. good luck!

Frizzy Curly hair...?

well, first off all, i wouldnt take advice about your hair from people you dont know on the internet. it could damage it. i would suggest going to your hairdresser and asking him/her. im pretty sure there is something that works, but again, ask your hairdresser. good luck!

Frizzy Curly hair...?

i'm useing this stuff call sun silk and it works for me so that should wrok for you. k, i hope that helps you out a lot.

Frizzy Curly hair...?

You need some protection before you start straightening your hair. Use creams from lorea'l designed for intense heat. Also for frizz, use dove and john frida products.

Frizzy Curly hair...?

try the green sunsilk, anti frizz or try the Gardiner Fructis curl construct mouse:)

Curly hair advice needed!!!?

I have naturally curly wavy hair but its not perfect, and i was wondering if u could recommend me some products like a mousse or a hair cream so the curls get more bounce and stay thru humid weather and wind... Im already using pantene shampoo and conditionner for curls and it helps a bit but not as much as id like it to...

So if u have any tips or products that u could show me, id rly appreciate :)

and im rly sorry about the spelling mistakes, im french speaking and my written english is terrible..:S

Curly hair advice needed!!!?

Your english is fine, anyway, I have curly hair and the shampoo your using is fine. To make your curls more bouncy, flip your head upside down and apply curl mousse while your hair is flipped upside down. When you put the mousse in your hair scrunch it upwards. Its helps create more volume to your curls. The mousse i use is STIFF $@%! Kickass Curls. (The pink bottle) Goodluck!

Curly hair advice needed!!!?

Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Mousse works well for me. Make sure you don't pull on your hair when applying it. I'm sure you already know this, but you never know sometimes.

Curly hair advice needed!!!?

Sounds like you have some what the same type as hair as me. Things I like to do...

If I'm going to let my hair just dry naturally, I like to take a squirt of light hair gel (I use l'oreal) and a squirt of calming cream (I use bed head 'after party') and mix them together and comb through my damp hair. Then I scrunge my hair and let it dry. Usually drys really well and looks great.

If I dry my hair with a blowdryer I usually apply a small bit of calming cream before (try got2b calming cream for wet hair), dry and then apply a little squirt of frizz oil (try citre shine shine mist anti-frizz spray laminator). Works like a charm... and you can find all these products in your local wal-mart =)

Hope I helped!

Curly hair advice needed!!!?

I have that kind of hair too. Have you tried scrunching your hair? It works for me. then i put a little bit of mousse in it and it looks pretty good. also, i saw a special on tv saying that pantene dries out and damages your hair, so maybe try another brand?

Are curly and strait hair codominants?

I think strait hair is dominant, but when the curly hair and strait hair gene are mixed, doesn't it make wavy hair?

Are curly and strait hair codominants?

I believe they call it incomplete dominance. Straight hair is dominant.

Think of this:

A straight-hair and curly hair have a kid. The kid has wavy hair. That kid has a child with a straight-haired person, and now that child has even straighter (less wavy) hair.

I believe codominance is when both curly and straight would've shown up. I don't think the gene would work like that.

Are curly and strait hair codominants?

I'm not entirely sure if straight or curly is decided by one gene locus but I remember reading somewhere that curly hair is dominant

Thick, curly hair, receeding hairline, help!!?

im 15, ive got receedin hairline, thick, quite curly hair, my forehead sticks out a bit, shud i grow it and straighten it, because girls like men with quite long straight hair, the thing i want most is to have a fringe to cover forehead so it doesnt look big, i dont want the hair to look massive on top, will layerin help wiv that as well, any answers for my problems plz =)

Thick, curly hair, receeding hairline, help!!?

Pay extra and go to a barber who will style your hair in the style you would like. Once you find how you look best, other barbers can keep to that style!

Remember that shaved heads are always popular with the girls!!!

Hair curly ...?

i have naturally curly hair but i died it recently...wanted to go blonde bleached it twice n then had 2 use a box die to put it back to brown. normally i can just wash it n moose n hairspray will leave it really curly but for sum reason it wont now?? n e 1 no y? im not v good with the curlers either n e tips for that n will it give a nice result? thanks!

Hair curly ...?

use gel and scrunch it with your fingers. i have the same thing, and after damage the curl can die. if the gel doesn't work, use a curl cream, and diffuse it.

Hair curly ...?

You need a good hair cut. That will take away the damaged hair which is weighing your hair down. I have curly hair too, and when it gets too long or damanged from hair dyes, I have to get it cut for the curls to spring back to life!

Hair curly ...?

You'll probably find that all the chemicals in the dyes have reacted with the hairspray and mouse creating different effects to what you're used to.

I wouldnt suggest using curlers (because of the amount of damage they do) and if your hair is naturally curly there's not much point. Have you tried any special shampoo's to enhance the curls?

I use John Frieda Frizz Eaze products and they work really well. There's a lot of choice in the collection with some that define the curls which might work for you.

Hair curly ...?

Sounds like you did some drying and damage to your hair, and stripped some of its curl 'identity' from it. I would look for a conditioning treatment for your hair, like Hot Oil. Charles Worthington has some intense treatment conditioners and leave in conditioners that work great on my over-processed curly hair. You can also get intense repair treatments for around $15.00 that take 20-25 minutes at your local salon.

Is there a possibility of losing my curly hair?

My parents agree that I need to get a haircut. It's pretty long, well past my shoulders now. I want to get it cut a sort of longer type of Han Solo hair-do and I'm dreading it won't work because my hair was really curly at that length. But now I've been growing my hair for several years now and it actually stays pretty straight because of the weight of my hair. Is it possible that my curly hair will be gone if i cut it because of time and the weight of my long hair pulling it straight for a few years? I just don't want to have to spend a lot of my time and have to straighten everyday. My hair isn't the "cute" type of curly either. It was thick and always lopsided when I was in the process of growing my hair out.

Is there a possibility of losing my curly hair?

well, juss get it cut and get a perm/relaxer to keep it straight so you wont have to straighten it everyday. *if your thinking of having a perm in,try not to scratch your head a few days in advance.

Is there a possibility of losing my curly hair?

It'll get curly again. I have the same type of hair %26amp; the same thing happens to me (hair is short and wavy/frizzyish, grows out %26amp; straightens, and I think it'll stay straighter when I cut it, but it never does).

I Want Curly Hair!!!!!?

Ok so i have straight black hair..and i want curly hair!!! not too long ago on tv they showed a shampoo that curls hair..do u think its safe?? i meen i love my hair and dont wanna damage it with chemicals or curling iorns (ect..)do u think u can help me???

I Want Curly Hair!!!!!?

i have the same problem.i hav very straight hair and wanted to get it curly.i ended up buyin a curling shampoo and it relly does work.jus apply it to ure hair as shampoo when u wash it (afterwards use conditioner, it doesnt relly matter what type u use) then let ure hair dry.as u sleep overnight u should apply sponge rollers to ure hair (doin this doesnt damage ure hair at all becuz u dont use heat or chemicals) the next mornin jus take the curlers out and ure hair should be curly. comb it through a lil bit so it doesnt look messy, but not too much cuz then u dont want puffy hair. if u want u can also apply some hairspray, but if u dont want those chemicals in ure hair its ok, becuz the curl will still last the whole day anyways.

I Want Curly Hair!!!!!?

i'm not sure

I Want Curly Hair!!!!!?

doesnt it seem like every1 w/ straight hair wants curly and curly wants straight because i have the opposite problem

I Want Curly Hair!!!!!?

idk sorryyy

maybe you should just keep your straight hair?

I Want Curly Hair!!!!!?

trust me babe me too! perm? or curlers?

I Want Curly Hair!!!!!?

I don't know.. i am very very stupid..

I WANT YOUR HAIR!!

My hair is curly.. want it? I love straight hair. Please let me have your hair!

I Want Curly Hair!!!!!?

my sister got a perm and it took ages to go straight again. so i think u should think about it before u choose to get one. because if u hate it then u'll have to be straightening it every day and that could wreck it.

I Want Curly Hair!!!!!?

It doesn't work, I've tried it. Try hot rollers, they make them now that don't damage your hair. Good Luck!!!

I Want Curly Hair!!!!!?

well...depends on how curly you want it. my suggestion would be to perm it...but if thats too curly for ya, you could always experiment with different shampoos, curlers, curling irons, etc. hope all works out....! =)

I Want Curly Hair!!!!!?

I suggest that you buy rollers and a perming solution, you need a light one to start with to see how you get on. A hairdresser will be able to perm your hair, this normally last a couple of months and then you might have to have it done again

I Want Curly Hair!!!!!?

sure...buy a wig. this is the age of wigs. you can have whatever color, style or length you want and never worry about damaging your real hair.

I Want Curly Hair!!!!!?

i know this lady who did my moms hair she didn't use no curlers to do it she put in small curlers and a spray that you put on daily and it will keep your hair curly, but to do it you have to cut your hair

I Want Curly Hair!!!!!?

use mousse that works! :) when i am in the mood 4 curly hair, i use that!

I Want Curly Hair!!!!!?

well, u can get a hair curler if u want. thats the only idea hav in mind.

I Want Curly Hair!!!!!?

well i braid mine, but it comes out like crimped..so if u want that?? and curling iron takes long..and u can use hair curlers..but u leave that overnight..and also when ur hair is damp.put lots of gel and put it in 2 messy buns with like a lot of twists..and leave it overnight..and ull have wavy hair..or u can use scrunching gel =)..so much to choose =)

I Want Curly Hair!!!!!?

don,t wash your hair.

I Want Curly Hair!!!!!?

Shampoos that claim to curl hair are just sham without "poo". Shape, colour and texture depend completely on genes and diet!!

The best thing to do would be to ask a dermatologist and a hairstylist if you can have it permed. That will, of course, reduce the variety of styles and the size of the waves or curls you can try with it, so check with your hairstylist and see which are the best frizz-proof serums and mousses available (so you can curl it with an iron and not damage it in the process).

If you do use a curling iron, use a ceramic coated iron (to prevent heat spots) and keep the setting low. Happi curlin!!

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

my hair is super-curly!! it takes me forever to straighten my hair every day! the hair straightener i use now is like only 30$. my mom said shed buy me a more expensive one if it will work better than the cheeper ones. so is there a brand anyone suggests that will work good thats i dont know... it the "more expensive" category... mabey 50-150$?

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

I have been exactly where you are at right now. Heat is extremely important. Chi is a really highly recommended by my beautician. Also the size of the surface is important, don't think that bigger is better. With the smaller ceramic surface you can get closer to your scalp and also it makes it easier to curl the ends under or out. You can do differnt styles with just one tool. no need for a curling iron to do those cute flips.

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

Chi is the best .... about 129.00

Mine personally is hot tools. It was 49.00 at Sallys and it gets up to like 400 degrees.

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

Cheap?

Like 25 dollars.

Wet2Straight.

On 30.(heat setting)

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

I bought my wife a brand called A.C.S off the internet (ebay)....she also has really curly hair and she hasnt complained once about it!....check to see if they have any.....you might really like it

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

the expensive one isnt that more expensive. try going to a salon and get a japanese hair perm. it'll get ur hair straight and silky. it last for about less than a year or so.

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

from what i know, since i have very curly and poofy hair, they really dont work that much better, if at all. the best thing to do is if you want to straighten your hair, use a straightener with a larger surface area on the plates so you can straighten more hair at once. i would reccommend the remington wet2straight in the wider size. otherwise, to minimize damage you could try a moisturizing shampoo to keep your hair from getting split ends or frizzy. if that doesnt speed it up try using shampoos to help straighten hair. What i do it pull my hair back and tie it up very tight and let it air dry all night. that ways the roots up till the hair tie is very straight and i only have the ends to do. hope that helps!

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

same way here hairl is poofy/curly/wavy and little bit longer than my shoulders and i heard CHI is a good on and DONT GET CONAIR! DOES ABSOULETLY NOTHING!!!!!!!! see my quiestion for ideas! or you can IM me!

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

Revelon striaghtner its white u can find it at Wal-Mart for under $20

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

My hair is so thick and I bought this straightener

It is AWESOME

Its the Reminton T|Studio collection

and its like 47$ and goes up to 200 degrees

BUY IT

you wont regret it

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

I highly recomend the Vidal Sassoon Ceramic, wide pannel. I've had curly hair my whole life, and i've gone through quite a few straighteners. My friends have used expensive salon straighteners, to cheap 35$ straighteners, they all work about the same on my hair. The good thing about the Vidal Sassoon one is that it generates alot of heat, and its got ceramic plates that distribute heat evenly, the cardinal rule of all straighteners is that they have entirely ceramic plates. It was also around 40$ including tax at walmart and it works really well. Make sure you buy the one with the wide plate though, it works best, and straighten small chuncks of hair at a time.

Help curly hair mess?

I have very curly hair and they are very small/tight curls and i have alot of hair...im 1/2 black 1/2 indian. I dont know what to do with my hair! dont just say cut it off.... please i straighten it sometimes but i cant everyday because im in 8th grade and I dont have time. Parents wont let me get a perm or japanese straightening eaither so i just neeed day to day suggestions for school.

Help curly hair mess?

Hey there, I'm 22 and have hair just like yours!! I don't straighten it because i feel like i never have time. if you're ok with it being curly my best suggestion is to put just a small amount of lotion in it when it's still wet. It weighs the curls down a little and makes them shiny and sleek. It also makes them smell great all day :)

Help curly hair mess?

If you just want to get it out of your face, brush it before you shower. Then put it back in a pony tail while it is wet. The front should straiten out (a little) from being back and at least that will help. You could also get it layered so it lays better. I have curly hair too but, not as curly as yours. I have like Robert Plant curls.

Help curly hair mess?

After you take a shower. Brush your hair really well. While you are doing it, put in hairspray. That way while it is staright with the brush it can stay like that the rest of the day!

Good Luck! :)

Help curly hair mess?

If you're having issues with curly hair, you should ask your mum to check out a book all about curly hair and how to take care of it so it looks amazing.

Its called Curly Girls by Lorraine Massey with Deborah Chiel.

You can also order it off of Amazon.

It's a REALLY usefull book.

Help curly hair mess?

I know how you feel. I am a melting pot of races. I have native american indian, irish, caucasion, and only God knows what else! (my mom's dad was adopted and died when she was 4. I don't know what else is in me). I've got thick course curly hair. Some times I used to feel like a girl attached to my hair. What I have found that works. Keep your hair really conditioned. Products that I've found works for my hair are: Sun Silk Anti-Poof, Matrix Biologe Hyddrating Shampoo and Conditioner, and Redkin Riglet 07. I got a haircut with mutliple layers (combination of small, chunky, and long layers). That made it easy for me to tame my hair. Talk to your hairstylist about some layering cuts that would tame the curl. My hair went from nappy curly to beautiful wavy with just a layered a layered cut. I didn't take off the length. Don't use the falt iron all the time. It could damage your beautiful hair. Think about how lucky we are to be the girls with the beautiful curls.

Help curly hair mess?

ok, I have heard it all before, but I have also heard that putting lotion in is not good. Ouidad hair products are a possiblity, even if the products( pricey) dont change your hair, they will change the way you feel about your hair.

One relly good product that not many people know about is citre shine. It works VERY well on curly hair- it is like a serum.

I am also a big fan of tresemme and paul mitchell

Good Luck! I know it can be difficult.

Help curly hair mess?

your best bet would be a curl activator. Silking makes a curl activator cream that works great. oh and don't ever put lotion in your hair because you have to wash it out every day and that will dry out your hair faster then anything

Help curly hair mess?

I am mixed too, with black %26amp; chinese. I have thick curly hair with the small/tight curls. I've been trying and trying to find something to do with my hair, and I think I've got it.

I use Garnier Fructis Curl %26amp; Shine shampoo, conditioner, and leave in conditioner (just incase you wanted to know some shampoo's %26amp; such).

As for products, I use a gloss (I don't know the name, sorry!)Sunsilk Frizz Ease 24/7 creme (green bottle), and Tresseme Curl Care mousse.

I apply the gloss first, to wet hair (you can just stick your head under the sink every morning, you don't actually have to wash your hair). After that, I apply the creme. Sometimes for hold I'll use the mousse, but its not necassary.

I always let my hair air dry, but some people use a diffuser which defines curls.

Some tips I have is when you go to sleep, put your hair in some sort of bun (on the top of your hair so it won't be in your way when you sleep). This will keep it from being wild in the morning. Another tip is I never comb my hair unless I'm washing it (if you need to comb your hair, finger comb while wetting it). This keeps in the curl. Also, always style your hair with wet hair, unless of course you are straightening it. And last but not least, I squeeze dry my hair, which also keeps in curls.

I have my hair layered, but get long layers if you do or your hair will poof up (embarassingly. Been there, done that). This does thin it out somewhat.

I must admit, my hair is so thick that not all of my hair curls up like a famous star, but this helps me soo much, and it leaves my hair with nice curls %26amp; frizz free. It also stays all day, through softball %26amp; conditioning, so you won't have to worry about it going bleh on you through out the day.

I hope this helps, %26amp; good luck!
