I have long curly hair and I want to dye it, will it still be the same?

Okay so I really want to dye my hair. I've had the same curly hair for a while now and I really like the idea of coloring it.

That's me, personally I'm bored with my hair. I love the curls and I don't want to straighten my hair by any means. I just want to know if it would be possible to dye my hair and still keep the curls. I really like the idea of going platinum blonde, maybe even with pink highlights. Though I also like A Fine Frenzy's red hair.

I AM A STYLIST IN NC. DYING YOUR HAIR WILL NOT CHANGE THE CURL IF IT IS DONE RIGHT. A PROFESSIONAL IS THE WAY TO GO. THE ONLY WAY THAT YOU CHANGE THE TEXTURE OF YOUR HAIR IS BY DAMAGE. SO BE CAREFUL IN THE PRODUCTS AND STYLIST YOU CHOOSE. GOOD PRODUCTS ARE KEY TO HEALTHY HAIR. YOU WILL BE OK.

i dont mean to offend you in any way, but i don't think platinum blodne will suit you. i was excited to go platinum blonde, and then i did and it made it look like my face was on fire because i have a warm complexion with some redness around my nose.

maybe a better idea if you're bored with your hair is not to do somethign drastic, but change the tone of your hair.

lol I'm sure dying your hair won't get rid of your curls. But I think you'd look better as an ash blonde or a dark blonde, not platinum (no offense meant).

Your curls shouldn't be affected. However, since you're making such a jump, a professional dye would be the way to go. Gradual is the key...

I don't think it would ruin your hair--my friend dyed her curly hair and it didn't ruin it.

Your curls will NOT be affected. You DO however need to treat your hair for dryness afterwards. If you don't, the dried out curls will tend to look frizzy and that's never fun.
