Oily and curly hair,, what to do ?

i have curly and oily hair naturaly... i kno how to get my hair un-oily but everythime i use that shampoo to do that, it makes my hair get all frizzy and makes even bigger curls.. i have no idea what to do, or how to fix it.. please help me find a way to keep my hair not oily , but still have my beautiful un-frizzy curls!

Oily and curly hair,, what to do ?

- Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blowdryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a microfiber hair turban (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent. They dry out curly hair. Visit the website for more info. on gentle shampoos (not oily hair, cute curls). Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof. O:(

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair. Then let your hair air dry or use a blowdryer with a diffuser.

- I really like the garnier fructis sleek and shine leave in cream and Tressemme clean hold gel, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites. Frizz-ease hair serum is pretty good for fighting frizz.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! Hope this helps!

Honestly, i don't know what to say. You can get anti-frizz shampoo//conditioner (i forgot what brand it was) we used to have some. Then, wash your hair thoroughly and try to avoid getting really sweaty. That's what causes oily hair. Really scrub the roots of the hairs too. Hope i help!!

My hair is naturally curly, and what I do, is I put gel or mousse on my wet hair after showering, brush it straight, and then blow dry it straight. I then take a straightening iron and straighten it. It really works good! Good luck

Try using John Freida's frizz eaze products he has some great stuff for curly hair. It will keep the curls loose and manageable, and keep it from getting oily.

i have naturally curly hair too!

1. well i take a shower get it clean and stuff...

2. dry it off (with towel)

3. put gell in my hand....rub both hands together flip head over

4. crunch it! (get a handful of hair and squeeze it)

5. the gell doesnt hold my hair together so after i apply the gell

6. i put hair spray.....and it just sticks together...and it looks wet....

I have oily, but not very curly hair except when I had a perm. What worked for me was to use the shampoo for oily hair, and then use conditioner. The trick is finding a conditioner that works with your particular water. If you don't have a lot of money, try different Suave conditioners. I always find one that works...in 4 years they will discontinue it and then you have to find another one, alas, but that's just the way things go.

If you have more money, ask at a salon what to use. Nothing my local salons worked better than the Suave except when I had well water.
