Everytime I go to the hairdresser, the stylist asks if I permed my hair. I don't perm my hair. I don't know how I ended up with curly hair. My Mom fed me this tale that when she was pregnant with me, she had a perm. And the perm must have trickled down to her womb. But I think she's joking. lol

When I was little, I had Shirley Temple ringlets. Now that I'm older, the ringlets have become large rolling waves. I'm not complaining! I'm just wondering if maybe I have a rogue ancestor somewhere? As far a I know, my ancestors in CHina have always married other CHinese. My parents are both Chinese as well.

I think it all comes down to your genes. At some point in your ancestory there was an asian person in your family line that had curly hair and both your mom and dad must have had the right carrier genes to make you have curly hair.

Embrace your hair! i think its easier to straighten hair than to make it curly... :-D
