Should I trim my curly haired 3 yr old's hair?

My little girl has the most beautiful hair. Her hair just falls into the cutest spiral curls. It is very long when straight (almost to her bottom) and comes to her mid back curly. I have never cut her hair and I'm getting different opinions about whether or not to trim it? It is getting a little frizzy so I think that a trim would help. But a lot of people are telling me that I shouldn't. I was also wondering if having bangs looked good for children w/ curly hair, because I constantly have to keep them up so her hair's not in her face. Please help.

I think you should definitely get it trimmed, it will look healthier, and plus, when if you have curly hair and you cut it and take a little bit off, it will make the curls more bouncy and curly.

And as for the bangs.... I don't think you should.. bangs don't tend to look the best with curly hair'd people. Side bangs usually do, but then it would be in her face even more. Plus, bangs, (depending on how curly her hair is) if you don't cut them right, could look a little odd and uneven, because they will always be bouncing up..

And, you will have to get her bangs trimmed often, otherwise they will be in her eyes.

I would just keep her hair long, especially the hair closest to her face.

A trim would take the frizz off and make the hair more healthy. I think bangs for a 3 year old would be great. Make sure the hairdresser knows you only want about half an inch trimmed of the back.

NO NO NO BANGS!!!! curly hair people should never cut bangs! Also, if her hair is getting frizzy give it a trim. When you have curly hair your hair needs lots of moisture and dries out easily. A good hair cut for curly hair is a layered hair cut because blunt cuts make it bushy. Hope this helps

Take your daughter to a place that specializes in hair cuts for kids. Ask for a trim to tame the frizzies %26amp; a few layers in the front to keep her hair out of her face. Don't get straight across bangs because they may spring up too much %26amp; then really get in her face as they grow out.

No you should not cut your daughters hair. My mother let both my sisters hair grow. She loves it and as do they. It must be wonderful to see her happy and with all that hair your daughter must look like an angel. As for the bangs you should let a hair dresser decide if she need them or not. A trim off the bottom of the hair is ok now and then because it helps keep your hair healthy and takes away the dead ends.

NO NO NO NOOOOOO NO!!!! Sounds like me when i was 3. I have very curly hair, and when i was little my parents decided that it was too much for them to deal with and I would complain that it was hot all the time, so they cut it, and gave me bangs. They still tell me how sorry they are for doing that, and I'm 25 now. It just made my hair even curlier and frizz really bad. And the bangs.... I can't even describe how horrible curly bangs look. I wish I had a picture
